Hey everyone! I'm excited to share with you my hands on review of the new DJI Air 3 drone. I test it out for both photo and video over a few days so you can see the footage in different locations and lighting scenarios. I also have a comparison between the Mini 3 Pro, Air 3 and Mavic 3 drone. Let me know what you think of this drone and my video in the comments!

My Air 3 Fly More is on its way, should be here on 14th August. While the delivery approaches I’m getting more and more confused. I mainly shot aerials and less videos, but I’m interested in 70mm for the parallax effect, moreover the Air 3 comes with a better RC, I was pretty disappointed with the feeling of the first RC with the Mini 3 Pro. What would you do? Will you return the A3 in order to swap it with M3C? I’m afraid about dropping the second focal length, but on the other hand I’ll improve by a lot video and photo quality… please help me picking one, leaving money aside. I feel that buying M3C will be like buying “old tech” for OS3+ and Old RC.

Ohh love your videos and appreciate this review. I'm looking at a drone for high end outdoor Architectural Photography will most probably bracket the shots.

Honestly you are quickly becoming my favourite reviewers. It's like you just "get" what I want to know about new products.
I wanted log-footage and a comparison to the mavic 3 and you would be surprised at how many just record some footage, put an awful grade on it so it get's bad dynamic-range, so I can't discern the quality of the drone.

How do the range/signal compare between the Mini 3 Pro, Air 3, and Mavic 3 Pro in real world use (with trees, buildings, etc.)? Does the new controller increase the range of the Mini 3 Pro? My Mini 3 Pro has terrible range and signal compared to my Mavic 2 Pro so I'm looking at getting the Air 3 or Mavic 3 Pro unless the new controller alone will increase my Mini 3 Pro range.
Air 3 looks great, great all in one product for sure. On a side note, how long did getting approval to film in a National Park take?
Are the upper and lower filters the same ? Since aperture varies from a camera to another. Thanks

Dji is dropping the S version. We got the Mini 3 Pro and the Mavic 3 Pro... What's Missing? The Air 3 Pro. 😎 I contacted them about this and they didn't deny it.

Noise wise..example..hovering in front of you?..people has said the Mavic 3 Pro is louder than previous models?..how is this Air 3 compared to the other two?..oh and the added vertical format is a plus but at the same time the fixed aperture is a bummer..lol give and take with these drones..if the Mavic 3 Pro had vertical shooting that would be the end all be all..for a "higher price point drone" DJI really missed the ball on that?..or maybe they did it on purpose not having the vertical shooting on the 3 Pro..haha companies always have a way of differentiating there products..haha
Cool drone BUT... I already have the Mavic 3 Pro with the 24mm, 70mm and the 166mm. I am kinda partial to the 70mm too though. It's weird to hear you say that you're in the middle of winter, when here in Chicago it's mid summer! Lol. Safe flying!
Ooh I'm jealous! That 70mm on the Mavic 3 Pro would be a dream, I'm sure. Haha yep, it's been pretty cold here recently, but we are lucky in winter the sun is usually shining, so it's not too bad over all :)

Does the batterey charger charges all three batteries at a time or one by one?
One at a time
It charges one at a time, but now has a new feature called "Power Accumulation Function". It will take the two batteries that have the least charge in them, and have them "top off" the battery with the most charge. I'll let DJI say it in their words, but you should check it out. So instead of flying for a short period of time and having to come back quickly, due to a low battery, it will charge one battery to a full charge and get you back in the air quicker and for a longer flight. You can charge the other two batteries while flying on the third.

The battery charging hub supports a new power accumulation function, which can transfer the remaining power from multiple batteries to the battery with the highest remaining power. When connected to a designated charger, the battery charging hub can expand the charging interface to three, and enhances efficiency by charging batteries in sequence according to their remaining power level, with more fully-charged batteries receiving power first. The battery charging hub can also quickly charge remote controllers, smartphones, and other devices.

Well, I think the Air 3 should have been better! This 3x zoom is something for the ton, because you can clearly see that there is a lack of sharpness, so I can zoom in afterwards! And only the same main camera as the Mini 3 Pro is too weak. I'm waiting for the Air 3 s or Pro and fly for nowwith an Air 2s with a 1inch sensor and the ability to film with 5.4K!
(1) Is the color fringing in all apertures? Easy to get rid of, but just curious. (2) Also how is it for super slow movement? I shoot a lot of subjects using super slow movement with my edlekrone motion control systems and was wondering for a drone would it be jerky at all at super slow movements? Mostly interested in the slowest it can move. Thanks Julia!
There is no difference in image quality, or dynamic range between the mini 3 pro and air 3. They have the same sensor and lenses.

Downgrade from the Air2s camera that’s how DJI makes their money wait for the air 3s and please don’t believe half of these people who advertise dJI products they get them for free everything is great to them I made that mistake before wait for a few months you will be hearing bad things regarding the camera that’s my only complaint about it. Just like what they did with the air2 then the air 2s came out with a 1 inch sensor
