@cpg8000 Right now, I'm running a Violectric HPA V281 Limited Edition and a Geshelli Dayzee with 2590 op amps. Man it is something else. The detail is wild. But the Geshelli J3 with 2590 op amps is pretty close in my opinion. The Dayzee is an improvement for sure. But the main reason that I got Dayzee was because it has double the connections, plus you can get it with a wood case that has aluminum front and rear panels. So it's rock solid and will last many years.
@@Rob-Davidson thanks kindly for the thoughtful response. It sounds like you are indeed enjoying what you have. I just got the J3 with Sparkos 2590, and I really like it. I have a Burson V7 Classic on order as a comparison to the 2590. Anything to tame poor recordings is my top priority right now. Enjoy!
I love my FunFi DAC of the week, but the focus on customer service, sound, function, and flexibility makes Geshelli stand out. The personal service is unparalleled and Sheri and Geno are people that you can just hang with.
GM☕️🥓💊🌦️ Seems to be the customization option in audio equipment (from the factory) seems to be an options many in the industry should look into (from a marketing standpoint) 🤔 As for a DAC’s sonic signature ,structure resolution and lack of fatigue is the key to its success.👍 Personally, once I got to hear a decent DAC (I’m my case a Denafrips) my DAC chase was over (for now 😂) Have a great weekend.
I have the J2 but with a different chip than you, (original J2, there were two chips to choose from when I bought it) and it's been a good DAC.(sound wise and build wise) But my first DAC getting into this hobby was from the brand Audinst. They are a South Korean brand and the model is the Hud-Mini. The reason I went with it is it's a DAC/AMP combo and you can swap OP-AMPs as well. I have three ( the one that came with it and two I bought that were compatible) and there are subtle changes but they do change the sound.
I feel lucky because I have the opportunity to watch your reviews.....
Thank you Dave 😊
My pleasure, you're welcome. Glad you enjoy the channel content.
Happy New Years.
Any chance your follow up video of rolling op amps is in the pipeline soon.
Looking forward to it.
It's gonna be a while a very long while. That's not a priority for me to be honest. Sorry to disappoint.
I had the Geshelli J3 Pro and Erish 3 Pro. Both with Sparkos 2590 Pro op amps. It was a great setup.
@@Rob-Davidson what have you settled on now?

Classics will definitely tame a poor recording. 2590 is super resolving. If a recording is bad, it shows up pretty well.

Totally agree 💯
Got a J2S with sparkos 2590 and an Erish 3. My farorite desktop combination to date!
Glad you enjoy them. Erish 3 Pro review coming soon.

Have a great weekend. Denafrips 8s a solid option for a DAC for sure.

Interesting 🤔 Thanks for the information. Glad you enjoy the J2.
Nicely Done.
Just wish this video included the rolling of op amps.
The point of the (S).
Rolling of opamps will be featured in another video in the future as discussed in this part of the video 11:11 Thoughts on Customization
Why do you keep spinning it around so much?
Just showing off all the angles and the layout.
