I have a Rogers steel grey ripple kit from the 'Covington era' (mid-1960's) with the beavertail lugs. Two 14 x 20" basses, two 8 x 12" rack toms, a 9 x 13" rack tom, 16 x 16' floor tom, and 5 x 14" COB Dynasonic snare (that drum is later 1970 vintage with script badge). The steel grey ripple finish is not the most visually exciting finish from that era but it kinda grew on me. Wonderfully made classic drums.
Beautiful Constellation outfit! Peanut lugs on that tom… they were gone by around 61. And B&B were replaced by Beavertail starting in 63 Wonderful drums
+stevemaxwelldrums *Shell mounts for two drums to port? Ill-advised.* The eventual config for my TAMAⓇ/HoshinoⓇ poplarbuilts will include two ø22"x18" kicks, one with a yoke for two rack toms, one with a yoke for one rack tom and a ride cymbal arm. The center drum would be on its own stand, or at tippiest on an arm from the splash-cymbal stand.

I love Rogers 💕 Covington era
Beautiful and amazing sounding. One of the classiest finishes ever made. I have a 1961steel grey ripple 9x13, 16x16, 14x22 with a matching 5x14 dyna.
Never knew such a snare mount existed. Interesting! Enjoyed the drumming, too!
That is some beautiful eye candy and sounds great as well.
