In my run, I applied Darwin's stats similar to Lingering's meta stats: 1K atk, 900 stam, 30% Def, and rest to hp. Very useful for ver 2.0 update since elysian cooldown will massively increase. Gear used: Max Chained Seal, Spectral, Persistent, Fortitude, Counterattack. Atk Chains: Chain 1: Sundering Chain 2 and 3: Elysian > Crescent > Sundering Phase 1: At the start of the fight, I immediately start spamming dodge to wait for Lingering to trigger his "lightning smash" and proceed to double cast twice (elysian > crescent > sundering > elysian > 2x sundering) when he triggers his light attack. If he successfully triggers spearlancer, I spam dodge until it wears off. Phase 2: Pretty much a guaranteed win since all I had to do is spam dodge and do this (elysian > crescent > sundering > elysian > 2x sundering) every 7 seconds until Lingering dies. How is this possible? It's because of Darwin's fast dodging animation and passive ability that allows him to absorb all damage while continuously triggering his s and regaining stamina. That's it, you get free Lingering for life. (Disclaimer: I did this while playing at swift 5 mayhem)
EDIT: This guide is still largely accurate post 1.8 release. The only changes is LF himself is a bit tankier, and a few things were changed, such as spear driver's lightning actually being able to be dodged (meaning counters now work on both phases), and reign matrix being able to be parried now. so uh, I finally stopped slacking off I made it a personal goal to at the very least get this out before 2.0 and I had a pretty bad writer's block on it for a long time, was hard to find something I was somewhat satisfied with, and this was the closest I got. I know some text goes rather fast, but I wasn't able to do much without having this project take a longer amount of time in the oven than I would like it to. This comment will be updated if anything changes post 2.0, which, honestly will most likely be the case. The old video will still stay up, but this is now the main one. on that note, back to vanishing into the void until 2.0 i go EDIT: at 05:24, it should be "you just need to find what's between 1 and 4 and input them for the middle two numbers." too lazy to correct it, but hey that makes solving the puzzle easier for you
Hey, thank you so much for your tip on the other video, I wondered whether you knew anything about obtaining altheas gift, the hidden artifact is obtainable by the Halloween event but idk if the altheas gift even exists and if the weapon it creates is meant to be obtainable, also I wanted to ask if you knew where to find mastery trials as the game tells me I need mastery level 2 to get a skill for red?
althea's gift is a joke item that was mainly used to test the crafting system when it was in its early stages, it forgot to be removed and as such, the true weapons (the really strong weapons you see at the blacksmith) are there to see, they are not obtainable though, and neither is althea's gift mastery trials comes in version 1.8 (next update), at the moment they arent accesible
i renember playing this in my friends a long while ago, and after that 2.0 trailer i kinda wanna play it some more, does this "hero mode" version of the stage have an level requierement?
it does, it needs you to be level 200 to access the stage, if you're not aware, to unlock hero mode for chapter 0, you need to complete chapter 0 act 7 on normal mode first; and then you need to progress hero mode accordingly
@@GIacials o got it, prob gonna try do to all that before the big update comes out, im kinda far away tho considering me and my friends kept getting one shot to the last boss on atlas without knowing why so we just stopped
likely the laser. the laser has bugged VFX so you actually arent able to see it coming without looking at what she's doing with her hands, so you need to look out for the specific hand sign and sky kick up while doing m1s to stay airborne as for the barrage, you can dodge it for the most part by dodging left or right, or theres a way to abuse the barrage for a bunch of damage (eg. you can counter it with darwin's elysian counter to absolutely nuke her)

works for the most part but as of 2.0 double casting is a removed mechanic, so it'll probably not be that simple sadly

Do you have to be a set level to fight him?
level 200 is a minimum to enter hero HoA so by extension, 200 is the minimum level to enter, but you can go higher if you need the extra stats
I somehow won the fight balling with Alburn using my usual block, parry, shield, and kill tactic.
