guess what canadians? texans love kim mitchell too. my first intro to him was universal juveniles-max webster and the rest is history. been a fan ever since. i still think he's the most underated guitarist of all time, publicly. doesn't matter to me. he's my favorite of all time. maybe not exactly the best, but to me he is and that's all that matters. thanks for posting. when akimbo came out, i was 23 just in case someone cares. thanks for the post!
Kim Mitchell is so great. He really gets involved and lets the audience have a great time. I saw him live 2 nights ago. I am going to see Tom Cochrane tonight!
They opened for Rush. Kim was just hanging out sitting under a tree before the show watching the lines of 15,000 Rush fans filing into Vets coliseum in Phoenix. Me and my buddies knew who he was so we hung out before the show. No one knew who he was.
you are so f-ing-A right on that one. Personally, He's my favorite all-time and it's such a shame he's not recognized more. A fart could sound good with him backing it up. One of my favorite riffs of his is with Max Webster - Universal Juveniles. It took a little while but I finally got it down in our rehearsal room 29 years ago and when the rest of the guys came back, they couldn't believe it. In The World Of Giants RULES!!!!!!
I remember seeing Kim Mitchell demoing his first solo full length at the old Nag's Head North back in Thornhill circa '83. This brings back tons of memories. Thanks for the caps.
95YNF in Tampa played this a lot, and I remember staring in wonder at my girlfriend's stereo the first time I heard it. I loved it instantly, and have been a lifelong fan. "All We Are" is a better song. "Lager and Ale" rocks more. But this will always be magically kickass.
I'm an American. Watching this video almost makes me want to be Canadian. ALMOST lol.
Thanks, did remember when local radio 92.2 KRST Rock first played this excellent song in 80's , still excellent 👌.
Best line up he ever had! Saw them live at inside venues & outside. And they always sounded dead on! Rock on Kim!🤘
Badass tune
Great tune, even today. :0)
And even in 2023!!
Imagine being front row during that time 👍🏽👍🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽👌🏽
