She wanted to do perform this at cochella with them (before the song officially released) but her management made her reject the offer because she was still in 5H at the time and was not allowed to work on solo projects because they were just about to release a new album. So it would look bad on the group if they release an album & she also releases a song with someone else around the same time. She’s explained this multiple times in interviews and podcasts.
