They will. Currently toriel and flowey is just as good as each other for grinding soul gems. But once papyrus comes then he will be better than both if them.

Bro I spent like 50 soul gems to end up soulless for so long, so when I got empty (while going for bravery), I was so pumped.

I was trying to get determination and got empty. That .5 was nothing for me.(also I had no idea empty existed)

I got empty yesterday when I started the game at the time I was going for determination mainly cuz I did t know empty existed so when I got it I just said”what? it just says empty” then I looked in stats found out it was a mythic then bragged on my friends
