I probably am his best fan--i was living in the US at the time---went to a Rod Concert--you know he is a big soccer fan--i was wearing a Scotland T shirt and he beckoned me on to the stage with him and then he handed me a signed soccer ball-what a night that was .

One of his best tracks. I've been a fan of his since I was a child back in the early '80s. I remember watching some of his videos on the awesome music video show Night Tracks on WTBS out of Atlanta.

My first concert.. One of a very few 16 year olds ( in the 90’s ) there. My Mom was a huge fan and I became one too. Happy memories attached to him and that voice. 💜 I lost her, but never the memories. Thank you Rod! 🙏🏼

Have always loved this cover by Rod. I think when people listen to this song, they think of in terms of the physical distance as being so far away. One can also relate to the emotional distance when a once love has drifted away.

Rod stood the proof of time and he is still here sometimes to tease us, old people, with some piece of art. Thanks Rod for you accompanied me through the path of life and if someone will ask me "what is music" I will surely introduce him to you.
Each time I feel lonesome remembering my dear mother who passed away , after struggling with liver cancer, it just brings me heartbreaking memories 💔and deep sorrow and misery , I was living without a mom since childhood.. She was living very far away from home. My only chance to be around her was hours before she was deceased, you always going to be in heart ❤️ dear mother although distance kept me away from you . I just have to deal with my fate .... Love you dear mom those lyrics reminded me with the day you have left me lonely 😞.
