When I worked in Alaska, I filleted hundreds of kings, and I firmly believe the top 2 things for filleting are a sharp knife, and the ability to “feel” what the knife is doing.

I scrape my carcasses with a spoon and get a whole nother meal off of them ... but I only catch a couple salmon a year .. thanks again for sharing .... did you get your lucky spin n glo back ?? same color as the one you plunk with ?
Scott thank you for the compliment. I love taking those pics too. Finally got a chance to get him to go. I have done it when drying, but other then that I don't skin. Lol. Dustin put some bellies and a fillet in the smoker while we were cutting. Yes, the knife he is using is a bubba blade. I got my lucky spinning go back and put it on and lost it two casts later for good. I was using a white glow in the dark because when the sun goes behind the hill it gets dark in that hole.
