No not photo shop at all, during the summer when the winds are light breeze from north east it brings a stream that is clear, warm and very dangerous, because brings the jellyfish the one that can kills you in 5 minutes

@@MsDichotomy It’s strange you keep saying ‘Cairns’. People who are born and bred in Palm Cove don’t tend to say they’re from Cairns, they normally say they’re from Palm Cove, because Palm Cove is so far from actually being in Cairns. Port Douglass only takes a little longer to get to than Cairns City from Palm Cove. Plus there’s about 7 really nice beaches protecting the Palm Cove water from Cairns Esplanade mud flats.

@@maitlandbezzina2842 I worked at Cairns airport as an aircraft maintenance engineer and also as a helicopter field engineer , that’s when Bush pilot airways flew the old DC 3 s out of the airport.I lived all over the place . Yorkers a knob, Trinity beach,Smithfield. I lived on esplanade at palm cove in an old two story Queenslander directly across the road from the beach which eventually got bulldozed to make way for all of the concrete boxes that the yuppies like . I watched the Jaws movie in the old movie theatre in Lake street Cairns . It had canvas seats and it was 1976 if my memory serves me well. I spent my first visit in Cairns base hospital with Malaria on the fist of April 1976. I sat my aircraft maintenance engineering exams in the Masonic hall in Lake street . The ocean was always a muddy brown and if you say any different you must be the wanker who posted the video showing it was blue.SSTFU.

Love love love Palm Cove but the sea is not that colour. It's murky, it's hard to see the crocs.

yes - keeps out the box jellyfish, which have a harmful and sometimes fatal sting. We were there a few years ago, and were told about this protected area, but I was still wary about going in the water even so. Never actually looked like anyone else did!

Yeah! I was there in 2009, and it was the same then because of the box jellyfish
