    This video makes me feel like I am there walking around. And I'm happy that you didn't include any silly annoying music like 90% of travel videos do. Good narration too.

    I also lived on Moore street. I used to go to that beach where the nets are up all the time.

      What was it like living there? What was the cost of living like? What about the wildlife? How was the beach?

    Thanks Tom for the video, nicely done. My son and I are traveling to NZ and Oz later this year. Our trip includes Carins and the "Reef" so it was nice to get a glimpse of what we might see.

    Why does the word 'Critters' remind me of the Beverly Hill Billies ?

    It’s an hour behind because Queensland doesn’t have daylight savings but it’s still in the same time zone, so it’s only over summer when there’s a different

    The time difference is due to Queensland not participating in Daylight Saving, whereas most of the country does :-)

      doesnt quite make sense that close to the equator. Although I do think Queensland would benefit greatly from being in permanent daylight saving time as the sun does set a tad early even in summer....

    as a local of cairns since 1987 i found this video quite interesting. trinity beach is one of the northern beach suburbs of cairns, about 20 minutes by car from the city.
    it's an hour behind down south up here in queensland, only because we don't have daylight saving time up here through the hot summer.

    It is daylight saving that makes for the time difference.

    • @Alfsp1
      @Alfsp1 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      mazzda con Queensland government doesn’t acknowledge daylight savings..so they don’t have it

      @@Alfsp1 but victoria and new south wales do, hence the 1 hour difference during summer
