The shaft on those boots kick a$$. Amazing! My wife had a wallet made from eel skin and she loved it. Very durable & tough, yet soft skin.

Man those boots are beautiful, love the shaft design. Its interesting how eel is used for footwear. someone must have seen an eel and said hmmm that would make a good boot. Not sure if i am a big fan of a black sole on a light color boot but that's just me being picky
Understandable. It seems like a tough leather to work with but it shines like no other!
Yeah, I also have some JW ranch boots that I bought in mexico ostrich
medium toe and they also broke in the back.
Yeah they definitely don't use the best material for the counter right now

@@emanuelmendez64 i like 3x toes. All colors look great. Id recomend a burgundy? And use exotic leather conditioner for them. I use angelus since it says it can b used on eel skin

My opinion on imperfections, I want the boot to be perfect from the factory then I make them imperfect and 100% my own.

Not by your work , but my nostalgia prospective,
My first pair of Eel Skins were a light Grey from Dan Post , bought in 1984 -85,
yeap Im becoming a old timer ,
2nd pair were a pair of Tony Lama cream and Black elephants,
3 rd pair were a pair of medium grey Elephants from Post, both pair of elephant and afew other elephants I still have,
They are all around heavy duty durability , only had to have new walking leather replaced, if I dug everything out I might have about 25 -30 pairs of boots ,
Weirdest and Ugliest pair of boots Ive every ran across were square patched pieced and multicolored colored Chicken Skin boot, dont recall the makers had for the time been , Either Post , Larry Mahan, or Tony Lamas.

Those boots are nice 👍👍. I love the color. By the way, nobody pays attention to the counters. Plus, the jeans cover them. Those would look phenomenal in some khakis.

Chisos boots are unlike anything I've seen in awhile. If you have it in your budget, I think it's totally worth it

I thought so too. They seemed to hold up well for a dress boot so far. Definitely wouldn't try to work a shovel with these or anything
