I love my caregiver, who is a PA. Way more through than my last caregiver who was a MD. So, it really depends on the individual giving the care.

Hi Michele! I’ve seen many of your videos and I would like to thank you for all the information you share to all of us who are considering in becoming a PA. I have a couple of questions regarding this profession. In your personal opinion do your think that it is hard to find a job as a physician assistant? I live in Chicago Illinois and I’ve seen that many people are pursuing this career and that it is being very competitive to get a job, I’m scared that after graduating from PA school I’m not able to get a job.
Also, I’ve heard that in many places, specially in clinics physician assistants work is not very recognized and that they don’t get paid as they’re supposed to, do you think that is true?
I hope you’re able to answer my questions. Thank you for your time and once again thanks for helping us gain acknowledge about this career.

I believe finding a job will not be a problem. I also believe advocating for what you deserve is also imperative. I’ve not encountered new grads having issues with employment if they know how to maximize and leverage their knowledge and experience

i flatly refuse to see these 90 day wonders, physician assistance got all there debt excused and only go to school for 4 to 6 months and know nothing about medicine. i have seen p/a s playing games on there phones and ignoring the standing room only waiting rooms. i have been in ers where the p/as were bragging about how they cant wait for there shift to be over so they can get drunk and "get a piece of ass at that party. "another one was trying to get out early to go to a monster truck show. they had no concern for the sick people begging for care. we have had here in the usa a 30% increase death rate , not from covid, because of these no knowing do nothing physician assistants. they are causing more suffering and death than getting no medical care at all. they are trying to push there way into doing surgery and other major care and tests when all they do is watch a few podcasts and sign into online courses and then go lay on the couch and sleep or drink a few beers and then claim they are qualified to do whatever they want. even doctors and the ama are getting concerned about these unqualified physician assistants. i will never trust them. i have seen the death and suffering they have caused.
