I've only recently been introduced to the voice of Dan Mc Cabe and I've not been disappointed,I grew up with Irish folk music,my Dad Paddy Mc Keown was self taught on the guitar and banjo and played in a few different bands and for a time could have passed for a Ronnie Drew look a like,Dan,I lost my Dad 13 years ago to pancreatic cancer and before he died he recorded a professional cd,Dan you along with my Dadhave helped me to keep my love of Irish music alive and for this I thank you xo

THE best version I've ever heard! Powerful! Love it! Makes me proud to be Irish! Reminds me of dinner on Sundays with my grandparents from Galway and Mayo. It was all Irish folk and rebel tunes we listened to with a little Johnnie Cash sprinkled in...the one American singer my grandma loved!

This is actually very, very good. I dig the deep raspy voice. It sounds natural and not forced like a lot of singers. I learned a lot of "styles" on instruments from The Dubliners. Luke Kelly influenced me to learn 5 string banjo. Clawhammer style. Ronnie inspired the finger-picking from his expert Spanish guitar style, and Jim McCann. Barney McKenna influenced my tenor banjo(and mandolin) skills and style. I play fiddle, irish/tin/penny whistle, i learned to love hearing James Sheahan. All of these styles I have melded these into my own, and started doing well live until the coof. Stay strong
