I am planning a trip to PortAventura this year and this is very helpful, especially the "how to get to the park" section and the info about FastPass and single rider queues. Please make more of these for other European theme parks!
havent watched the video yet but ive gone to portaventura. if you go during a busy time absolutely 1000% get the fastpass unless you like enduring huge queues
I went to PortAventura in 2018, I enjoyed it and would love to ride Shambhala again, I was there for about a week, I always ate at La Cantina in Mexico, which felt like a school lunch hall, but at least they had nachos & guac
It was a pleasure getting to spiel to your train on Twisted Timbers the other day!
shambhala is my favorite rollercoaster ive been on! been on it at least 10 times.
As someone to whom PA is their hometown park,... and I can tell you, you were on point on all your observations and suggestions, Congratulations.
That's good to hear!
i regret not riding shambhala when i went to portaventura now... when i saw the seats i dipped but after researching a bit more after the trip and realizing theyre even better than over-the-shoulder restraints... at least i rode all the other ones
Hi Harry, thank you for sharing your thoughts, it's greatly appreciated, it looks like a decent park with a couple of great B&Ms too. Cheers Peter 🙂
Went on my 2nd visit back in April. Still my absolute favourite theme park I’ve ever been to. (So far.)
Cannot wait to go again.
Fun fact: I used to run around on the playground at my school singing 🎶Oh boy! We’re singing about Coaster Bot🎶 really loudly 😂
And one last tip; use the single rider lines, located at Shambala, Uncharted and a few others! Especially early morning these are definitely worth it. Was able to redo uncharted 5 times with a ~5min maximum wait!
Didn't know Zoe has coeliac disease. Reading information beforehand about the availability of gluten free food is such a relief, so thanks for providing your experiences!
I’m glad they had good access to gluten free food, too. I was fluent intolerant for ten years, but that was before there was much information out there. So it wasn’t as easy. Thankfully I grew out of it.
I heard from multiple people that they have purposefully bad operations to convince people to buy fast passes, and operators get told off by their managers for being too fast.
But I also read that they haven't been that bad this season, so I have hope.
I got back last week, operations seemed fine to me, I've never been before so can't compare it to previous years. Dragon Kahn was running 3 trains and they seemed to be going up the lift hill every minute or so.
I also got back, although indeed the operation are not up to the standard of other parks. Trains at Shambala dispatched with a average of 3 minutes when I was there, stocking up the 2nd train on the brake run for sometimes a full minute
Typical Spaniard behavior I’m afraid
I'll be using this tomorrow 😊
When you go tell me about furios baco
oh man youre gonna have a great time
I went this year and luckily the operators worked decently fast!
Yes it was still a long queue but atleast they moved a bit
6 nights next year! Grandparents and kids all coming too so we get days where we can go without the kids and with. Staying in one of the hotels. Cannot wait!!
Hey Harry. Just wanted to say a quick hi - I’m the guy who shook your hand yesterday in the queue for Maverick. Thanks for all the content! 😊 Andy x
Hey Andy, it was great to meet you the other day!
I haven't been, but it looks great, especially now that I hear the ops are better now.
I went there last summer for 1day with a Fastpass and I wont come back unless they will offer a big new coaster. Even with the Fastpass the lines were pretty long, because so many people had one. That got better towards the afternoon and I could get all my rerides in, but if they don't improve theire operations alot, I wont be Back.
the operations were actually good when i went in april they were getting trains out pretty quickly on most rides
Coaster Bot is another channel that goes for quality, not quantity ✌️
I've been to Portaventura before but I have never used the single rider lines. Are there single rider lines for the bigger rides? I'm mainly wondering about the Furious Baco, Dragon Khan and maybe El Diablo?
Pepole binge wacthing portaventura viedeos because there going
👇
Thanks for the great information. I will be going in early July. Would you recommend buying the express passes for both parks or just PortAventura?
There's not a whole lot to do in Ferrari Land. If you get there as soon as it opens you can ride Red Force first, and the other attractions after, with minimal queues.
I know you weren't covering Ferrari world specifically in this video but if you're only going for one day, check the opening times. Red force has pretty poor operations with plenty of down time so if you wanna ride, especially more than once, I'd recommend aiming to get on it as soon as that park opens
Got back from here last week. Excellent park and the 3 rollercoasters are awesome, I was particularly shocked by Furious Baco at how fast the launch was as the ride looks quite tame and flat when you look at it. Uncharted was incredibly disappointing, I'm not sure if it was partially broken as there seemed to be a distinct lack of special effects and audio.
Thats my homepark!
would've been useful last week when I went 😭
Buying the tickets at The Park ticket Office is more expensive than buying in The site?
1:03 Why's the water mill spinning the wrong way 😂
🤷
What's the deal with Streat mission? Its just the most basic screen-based shooting dark ride...
Went there it was the best until you go in a queue and are some people trying to get by you because you have the people who are ahead of you saving them a spot which made you wait longer and having to wait in a line for the bumping cars was even worst when there was three young boys waiting in front with their parent and then went out of the line where the trees were beside the queue to go to the toilet that's literally what ruined it for me
Bro I say this with the nicest and constructive criticism intentions in mind... Make videos for enthusiast again. In this video you talked to us like we just graduated kindergarten or some ride loading video.
This video wasn't aimed for you, it was written for everyone.
With that being said, I will make more enthusiast-specific content very soon. If you have anything in mind as to what you'd like to see, let me know!
