I find it strange that earlier Gran Turismo's probably had one of the biggest budgets (5 had one of the biggest budgets of any game ever), yet still have the worst sounds. TDU's also pretty bad, but only because it sounds like a flatplane V8 not a vaccum cleaner. GRID had V12 sounds for soe reason.
The father of SLS AMG and the AMG GTR, the SLR is definitely one of the most important modern supercars in Mercedes-Benz's history. The car's sound is still unique to this day. ^^
In two 2005 games, there is a notable character who drives it. Bull (Toru Sato), which you can mirror match him since you unlock it after Ronnie's defeat, and his SLR being just black with red tint and ADR rims Ceasar, the ultra-rich exotic mogul, who drives an SLR, and has the By Invitation Only challenge you right after defeating him, then he goes to a Gallardo, and eventually the ME 412.
nice video, but what happened to hot pursuit 2010? it's on the original game but the remaster had to remove it due to lisencing. İt even has the black edition

PGR4 is the best sounding. Even down to how quiet it is in the interior.

Then there's GT4 🤔
It shared the engine sound with both generations of the SL500 in GT4. What kind of engine sound that is supposed to be, I have no clue.

I know it sounded like hot garbage in GT4, but I always enjoyed that engine sound, it sounded soothing for some reason.

I thought it's impossible to acquire license for this car after McLaren and Mercedes has split (and becoming motorsport rivals once again).
Why the SLR Mclaren Wont Appear In Recent Forza Games: Motorsport 7, Horizon 4 and 5 ??
Likely due to a licensing issue. Hopefully they can resolve it in the future, as Polyphony and Ivory Tower managed to license the car to their games.
SLR was also on FH2, but on X360 version at least. Not sure if it appeared in XONE version
