    Good review Alex! I've been using them for more than 4 years and they still look like new after 5 EU Tours, a lot of flights and daily playin'! It's just a masterpiece :D

    Also, if you have experience with the standard Trick Pro 1-v Bigfoot pedal, how would you compare the two?
    I currently have the Pearl DD and they feel somewhat light and short despite being set to the heaviest settings and longboard style.

    Now more than 3 years later, anything changed? Any rattle, squeaking or whatever?

    Hey Alex, I'm looking to get some new pedals. I currently own Axis A Long-boards, which I've owned for nearly 4 years and I'm really disappointed in them. They're too hard to adjust spring tension wise, don't come in contact with the head of the bass-drum during maximum impact point etc. They also destroy your hands if you get them caught in the drive shaft hinge. I've noticed your review of these pedals and am looking for a professional opinion on whether or not these pedals or the newer trick pedals are for me. I'm aware these pedals are quite heavy and I'm a really small dude who's always struggled with heavy pedals. I've tried playing DW 2000s and DW 5000s on high tensions but cant seem to play them at all. Will I have these problems with this pedal? I used to own a Pearl P902 double pedal which I could play quite well, and the axis pedals which I can also play decently well. Would love to know your take.
    Regards
    -Josh

    Just out of curiosity: what was the event in Egypt, and do they often have metal concerts/events? Who played?

    Hi Alex, great video.
    When you split it from a double to singles, can you remove the beater hub from the main pedal to make it like two normal singles? Like on an Axis or Trick.

      I would of thought so but never tried!

    Hey man thanks for the review! I have a couple questions regarding them:
    1. Can you get power in the throw? I find that some direct drive lack the power that chain has and I don't use triggers so I hit pretty hard with a chain pedal but I want to move to direct drive and the Czarcie Kopyto looks perfect.
    2. Did you try them before buying? The main thing that's holding me back is the fact that I can't try them before buying since no shop here (Quebec, Canada) has them and no drummer I know uses them.
    3. Would you recommend them for someone that is doing minor touring? I do lots of shows but not that much road (mainly local gigs)
    Thanks a lot!

      1. You sure you watched the video man? All I talked about was the power from them! These would be perfect.
      2. I didn't try them. Just took a gamble and it paid off. They're very in demand with a 6 month waiting list, so if you didn't happen to like them you could sell them very easily.
      3. I would. Even small scale touring you always want a reliable pedal and these are the best for that.

    I notice alot of similarity between this pedal and the Trick Pro1-V. regular spring instead of the compression spring might be the only major difference?

    • @AlexMicklewright
      @AlexMicklewright  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Czarice have more adjustment options, wider, bigger footboard and it's built to a much higher standard!

    • @the6ig6adwolf
      @the6ig6adwolf 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      roozor lol ok. The trick pedal is machined from aircraft grade aluminum so I dunno about built to a higher standard bud. Looks like a good pedal either way.

      Chris L I used to have an endorsement with Trick so I know their products and build quality well. The drive shafts eventually come loose. Had some problems with the heel blocks. These pedals after 14 months are exactly like new. Czarcie are 100% cnc'd by computer using aluminium and steel.

      roozor I'm a DW nerd so I'll stick with that but options are always good.

    heelplate wobble even with the trick pedals you used prior to this one?

  • @mrnegronis
    @mrnegronis 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    If you don't play heel toe, then how do you play doubles? I saw your other video and it looks like your foot doesn't move much at all. Thanks

    • @danieljordison0793
      @danieljordison0793 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      heel toe and double strokes are kinda different motions, heel toe literally uses your heel then strike with toes, doubles use the rebound of the pedal almost with the natural motion of your feet making it look like a regular up and down stroke

    what problem did you encounter with the trick dominators?

  • @ethtt
    @ethtt 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    May I ask, what's the point in making the pedals so tight in your old pedals? Doesn't it make it so much harder to play doubles or more complicated single pedal patterns?

    • @AlexMicklewright
      @AlexMicklewright  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      EthT My spring tension is about 3/4. Having a higher spring tension helps with fast playing but it takes a while to develop the muscles to handle the fast response.
