There's no debate that the android/cell arc is the prime of dragon ball. This is the arc that I watch over and over again. Plus this is where all the bruce falconer themes are at their best.
This saga is More than just perfect... We get moments like: The Z warriors all together again, including Bulma. Android 17 Vs Piccolo Ginger town broadcast out of nowhere. So much I could mention, but, if the series ended here, Gohan's story would've come around full circle. Saiyan Saga, they Really needed Gohan's help but he was too frightened of his opponents until 1 kick was able to send Nappa flying. Then, all the Z warriors help Gohan to defeat his opponent. Gohan truly was an amazing character from beginning to end. Trained by Piccolo, taught Ki control by Krillin, honed his fighting more under Goku & Piccolo, then, taught the secret of SSJ and how to control it. But, nothing beats the moment when Tien (the God Damn Role Model) decides to follow Piccolo and put up a decent fight if he is to die, followed quickly by Yamcha and Krillin. Their short speeches to Goku as they're attacking Cell, and then..... Prince Vegeta in the clutch, helping out a fellow Saiyan and putting his pride aside, finally. Gahhhhhd, there's Too many moments. Krillin finally getting a girlfriend. The revelation that Gohan is stronger than Goku while he was watching him fight Cell. Android 16 being a cool dude. The Androids in general being pretty cool with basic but awesome designs you could Never forget. Just the Z warriors being together again for a big fight was enough for me.
realistically the show could "ended" after the cell saga and the show would feel complete. all they'd need to do I show gohan as an adult with his kids for 1ep or sum and it's chill👌
Easily the best arc. Everyone dead from the Saiyan Saga come back and all have some use, besides Chiaotzu but I don't really consider him part of the Dragon Team. Yajirobe did way more than he ever did. This arc takes place all over the world and you see so much more of it than any other part of Z. God tier arc, easily could've and should've ended here. Goku's character progression was complete, Gohan's built up hinted insane dormant power was always there from the first episodes. After all, DBZ was originally going to be called Dragon Ball: Son Gohan's adventures.
Never played but have watched videos on it. I don't remember if I watched the cell saga first or played the burst limit game but one of those was my first intro to the cell saga 😭

Really mixed opinions on this arc personally. Really hate how a lot of the Dragon Team are handled in it but has a lot of moments I like. This is the last time Tenshinhan is allowed to be actually cool unfortunately, lol. Really like the androids, and Trunks, and Krillin's moments. I do like how Vegeta is kind of more of an obstacle than an ally still. But a lot of plot stuff felt ill thought through, like my major critique that Gohan is brought in at the end to be the hero of an arc that prior to that moment, he really had no part in. Personal pet peeve that a lot of people don't care about, but Yamcha is absolutely character assassinated in this arc. Goku's characterization here doesn't sit right with me, also a lot of traits that were just Goku's traits kind of start to be considered "Saiyan traits" which I just hate. But I like Cell himself, and still, it's a fun enough time.
nah Freiza's if the best sorry alight let me explain. First of all in your video you didn't use only the cell saga you also used the andriods and mecha Freiza which andriods I can understand but not mecha freiza so all of your arguments from the mecha Freiza saga are in my opinion useless I'll let the andriods slide because, it makes sense. Reason number two the time thing is so confusing especially because this is a kids show, it is too hard for me to understand (at least on a first watch) I would have to rewatch the lecture like 4 times before I understood. Cell's design was legit so bad toyirama's editors had to revise him 3 TIMES. Krilin is just wasting his big bald head in this arc he gives up destorying 17 not only stoping 17 BUT ALSO, stopping perfect cell. Goku is also natrually dumb giving up the fight just to watch gohan get beat up worse then vediel vs sopowitch don't even get me started upon that senzu bean too. The final thing that makes this saga a little bit better than medicore was the gohan transformation to ssj2 GOKU WAS BETTER goku gave us the most icionic transformation in the history of anime hell even the MEDIA ITSELF and got angry because freiza killed his biggest rival (vegeta) his other newly redeemed villan and babysitter of gohan's piccolo and HIS BEST FREIND KRILLIN in every single moment of the anime and the manga dubbed or subbed was INSANE, oh and why did gohan cry hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm BECAUSE OF THE DEATH OF A ROBOT NOT EVEN PICCOLO wich would make SENSE no A ROBOT WHO LIKES BIRDS. This saga was actually really good but there are more bad stuff about his saga than good. It’s the start of why people hate dragon ball I mean there’s a video about how everyone just gets super saiyan in 1 arc, all the z fighters mistakes in android saga and buu saga, frieza being built up to be a menace gets destroyed a few episodes in signs of power creep, the saga being about trunks saving his future or goku doing it but it was gohan for some reason and trash side characters and more If you watch android saga as your first watch there would be confusion but you would say it’s great with great menacing villains and hype moments with goku iconic death
First, let me say that I absolutely loved your use of DBZA with you, and I agree that the Tien moment from abridged is cannon and no one can tell me otherwise. Ki ko fuck yourself. Hahaha. That said, I have to disagree with your opinion that this is the best saga. Definitely the one with the most iconic moments, The Final Flash, Gohan going SS2, Goku's sacrifice, and the best villain of the series. Love those things. But the majority of the fights are just one side beatdowns. Trunks Vs Frieza/King Cold, Vegeta vs 19, 18 vs Vegeta, the gang minus Krillin vs 17. Even Cell vs Gohan were just two one sided beatdowns then probably the most iconic beam struggle. There was little tension in most of the fights, as the winner was clear from the beginning. There was no real back and forth in most of the fights. Except for 17 vs Piccolo, Piccolo vs Imperfect Cell, 16 vs Cell, and Goku vs Cell. One of those could have been one sided, but after Cell used the Special Beam Cannon, Piccolo got really curious and intentionally got into that position to try and get information from Cell, which worked. In Dragon Ball, and the earlier two sagas of Z, the final fight of each saga was a major back and forth, leaving a first time watcher wondering what would happen in the end. If the heroes won, what would the cost be? The Cell saga only really did that was Piccolo vs 17, and Goku vs Cell. Both of which ended before the fight could come to a conclusion. It could be said that Goku vs 19 was that way, but the heart virus made sure we knew Goku would be out of commission before the fight went on too long. Goku was fighting a losing battle from the beginning. That was a great way to introduce SS Vegeta though.
I never thought about how many one sided fights were in the cell saga until I read this 😭 idk I just really love this saga. It might not be objectively the best but this saga was so much fun for me and seeing a lot of the z fighters have their moments was a nice touch

By the time he hit his perfect form, he was a far different character than he was as imperfect. My personal favorite saga is the Sayian Saga. The stakes felt so much higher. The tension was super high during the fight with every Sayian. Yeah, the pacing was kind of an issue, but every fight felt like it could go either way at the drop of a hat. I loved that. Yeah, the story wasn't as good. We didn't have as many iconic moments. But the action was so good. And there was a legit cost of victory, as they lost the universal reset button in the form of the dragon balls. As bittersweet as the victory was, I loved it.
Something introduced in this saga that never came back that definitely should is the grade levels. SS2 and SS3 with grades would’ve been interesting to see no need for god transformations. I mean Goku SS1 went from something on a similar level to Frieza to holding his own against Perfect Cell who I think was using like 70% of his power against him. Gohan SS1 grade 4 made Cell use even more than that. Just think about it when Goku transformed into a SS he was slightly stronger than Frieza but when Gohan transformed into a SS2 he was toying with a full powered Perfect Cell. SS2 and SS3 with grades could’ve been written to go against the villains of Super.

Best arc has to be the Sayans on earth one. High stakes, a lot of people dying, including the death of piccolo which was discussed amongst us at the time in school as a tragedy almost. Just good writing overall, Namek comes second and then Dragonball unfortunately starts falling down a cliff and becoming silly really.

There is no more real tension and it became cartoonish.

Well, cool that you like the Cell Saga. The action in this arc is outstanding, but the story is total trash to be honest. The series was ready to be finished with the defeat of the galactic tyrant Frieza. To follow this up with Cyborgs is just such a hard asspull. For real, the Cell saga is not the best DB arc, actually it belongs to the weaker half of the Z era

It's crazy how Gohan has established himself as the strongest once again as of the Super Hero movie.

I dont get how cell survived he transformed how did he come back at perfect cell mode
Since he has piccolo cells he's able to regenerate and with the saiyan cells in him he got a zenkai boost making him stronger

3. This cell we see but came from a whole different timeline then future trunks
4 if you want to count cell max but I don't count him

Well, cool that you like the Cell Saga. The action in this arc is outstanding, but the story is total trash to be honest. The series was ready to be finished with the defeat of the galactic tyrant Frieza. To follow this up with Cyborgs is just such a hard asspull. For real, the Cell saga is not the best DB arc, actually it belongs to the weaker half of the Z era

Not gonna lie, I don't like Dragon Ball but this arc is the best one.
I like how ur obviously white, but use some of the same phrases as the black dudes that review DBZ. That's just how you gotta talk about DBZ on TH-cam now
