I guess for me, it’s how men get mad angry when their teenage daughters get male attention. It’s very normal and I absolutely think rather than get upset, guide your teenage daughters through. That’s the point of being an adult and a father to your daughter(s).
And I loved that they touched on that side of kids. Some adult parents want to pretend that these things don’t happen and like they didn’t have it happen when they were teens. I understood the dad’s frustrations but it also exposed a character flaw of his hence his inability to guide her…(which is why he needed to trust his woman, the question is does he trust women sef?)
I think sometimes, parents forget that they were once teenagers and things like this are normal.
In 2024 he should be happy the note wasn't from another girl. 🤦 He would have really lost his mind.

I agree with your sentiments concerning DIdi, but as a former stepmom there's this pull to not hide anything from your partner especially as relates to their children. That said in my short stint as stepmom I didnt share their "secrets" with their dad. Editi should’ve handled the situation with his daughter much much better. Didi is in a double edged sword relationship. She loves his kids very much but isn’t their mom so there’ll be times when she going to feel that. Now she and his kids have built a trusting relationship. But their dad can be the one to destroy that based on how he reacts to stuff like this. Yes! Didi was in the right for telling him cause he’s eventually find out and if he realizes she knew and didn’t say anything that in itself is another argument
