- In this video I take a look at the Samsung F6400 40-inch model. It has Smart TV functionality along with built in Wi-Fi, Active 3D, and comes with two different remote controllers as well as two sets of Active 3D glasses.

It's almost equal except that it 48 inches and the secondary remote of different design. Very happy with it. I also have the same tv model 40" but after 7 years the screen went dark the backlight already failing so already need repairs

I got the same TV this week except I got the 32 inch version which is way big enough for my lounge room.
the IR extender is actually used to point at your foxtel box so that you can control it using the Samsung remote, you plug it in have it near the Fox box and then you can control both with the one remote, it's not an input for the TV
This tv goes head to head with a similar model, the 6300. Only real difference is the 3D capability. I own a 60 inch 6300. Awesome tv. I have my cable, Samsung soundbar F450, PS3, and PS4 hooked up to it. I'm curious to see what your preference of calibrations is in viewing this tv was? Hope to hear from you soon.

I live in the usa. I purchased a 50 in one. I have it on a 3 in 1 stand with polk audio speakers sony reciever. I am trying to make it my multi media hub!!! i hope i can add more storage on it!! i soon hope to get a keyboard for it!!!!
Hey Mark just thought i would let you know, that Infra red dongle is not an an extender, its a IR blaster used to put near your set top box etc so the samsung remote can be used as your set top box remote thats what makes the set top box button on the remote work :)
An awesome video anyway, you inspired me to purchase one of these badboys a few months ago.
I just brought one of these I'm new to all this smart tv stuff i was told these tvs have problems after the first year of use so i recommend getting the extended warranty when buying one.
I have the same tv except mine is 46in...for ps3/4 gamers....thereis virtualy no input lag if you use a high quality hdmi
Bought this at Christmas time which replaced my Sony LCD 60hz, sold the Sony to a friend after 4 years of using it as our family television. The Samsung stopped working in June, just less than 7 months later, of course I didn't buy the extended warranty because it was a brand new TV and a Samsung so it had to last.
It was on 5-6 hours a day actually a little less than my other TV, the picture was stellar, the sound left me wanting, although I'm an old veteran so I might just be deafening, so we bought a surround to go with. The remote control was a tad wonky and clumsy, it wasn't very convenient and the smart features were just OK, but after using GoogleTv by Logitech with my Sony it left me feeling like I was missing something. I used Chromecast on top of the smart features as this seemed to gel with my Android household more thoroughly.
I would suggest that you not buy this TV, not just because the Smart TV wasn't all that stunningly smart, or the features weren't overwhelmingly impressive. Not because of the sound, the remote or the lack of its ability to utilize any of Samsungs own periferals (ie keyboard, smart remote, camera, etc) and really not because it broke within 7 months (although that should be a standout problem in your mind).
I would suggest you not buy it because in every sense of the word it was rather disappointing, Samsung doesn't want it to work with the Google play store, but makes its Samsung store pathetically impractical, the memory allotted for the unit was meager and Ram was elementary, everything it did, it did slow, and couldn't even conform to the Samsung ecoSystem. What is the point of limiting options to only Samsung products if you don't allow it to work with any of them anyway? This TV is an all out waste of money, and for that matter, watch out for all the Samsung SmartTv's in this family as they are popping up with the same issue all throughout the internet, Power supply and the main computer... oh and by the way, even though the TV is under Warranty, they goofed up my service call so instead of getting it fixed in 4 days it's going to be almost 2 weeks. Thanks Samsung, but no thanks, I'll go back to my Sony products next time around.

I love this TV I wish I spend little more to get the 46" and it a model F7100 to get the 240 HZ with 720 CMR

en joshi-godrez the UE (europe) model has CMR200, but the real panel refresh rate is 100Hz if it has a samsung panel inside; and the US model UN40F6400 has 120Hz real refresh

Mark liked your video. You set the TV on top of your set top box, looks like a Humax, I'm in the same position and same equipement. Did you ever move it? I wonder if you can get a different stand for the TV? Another Samsung stand perhaps
+KA H Thanks, it is sitting on top of a cable TV box in this video, and I now have it sitting on top of an Xbox One. I have never had stability issues doing either, has been sitting perfectly for the past 2 years.

What's it like playing video games on this TV? Particularly FPS?
Works surprisingly well, but if you want to minimize input lag as much as possible i recommend you set it into gaming mode :)
I have a question about gaming what is the input lag for this model? Does it register controller movement straight away? I am thinking of buying this tv and just want to do a little more research
Don't know about input lag, though I have noticed no issues using the TV with my Xbox One, PS3 or Wii U.

It is possible that the box contents vary by country, best to check the box and see if it mentions what is included.
***** I always saw unboxing on youtube videos all of'em contain the same thing, It costed me 4300 USD without a smart remote control or even 2 active samsung glasses! I'm very upset and I will never ever buy a single item from that website. now I have to buy these missing things! God!

I haven't experienced any issues with the TV, and it works very well with my Xbox One, I have no complaints when it comes to gaming.
it actually has 200 hz ! i want to buy this tv aswell, are you satisfied with the 3d experience ?
nusux Pretty sure that the UA40F6400AM only has 100Hz, and I have only watched Oz The Great and Powerful in 3D on it so far, which was very impressive!

No it couldn't. I had that model and over time I realized it was a very good model unfortunately it couldn't have lasted more than 2 years as the display went off. I would get that model again if available on the market but Samsung doesn't have the politics of having something available for too long. After this model as a replacament model I got H6400 but again after 6 months the display started to deteoriate and after 4 years it was gone. I like Samsung but there must be something wrong with Samsung's models. It cannot last.

+Muhammad Faisal need some hacking.............you have to enable bluetooth ..For first you have to press info menu mute power on normal remote.the tv shows service menu...Then select engineering mode and ON bluetooth and exit from this by return key.......
But i didn't get the normal remote
