I found it easier to place the clip in the frame, then use a flat head to push in the plunger then line up and push in trim. Figured this out after two broken clips.
The above procedure did not work for me, as the installation of the molding did nothing to push the rivet in to set the replacement clip properly. Rather, I simply inserted the replacement clip into the body and used a screwdriver to push the stud on the clip into the clip to expand the ears; it was then easy to pop the molding onto the new clip with a good tap from my rubber mallet.
Wrong part number. Correct number is 95555954700. Doing this today on my transsyberia, all 16 clips. Thanks for the video and the comments about putting clips on with a screwdriver really helped.
