Good morning! Have a day off today, so will be binge watching all these episodes! Again I say "Thank you for loving them and caring for these truly lovely and noble creatures" 💕
You, dear, Sir, are what the world needs. I *Thank You* for all you do. (been crying on & off about their losing their momma. We love you, Elly. Wrigley, :( ... how I pray that somehow you are OK. :*( How anyone could ever hurt these innocent, beautiful creatures, has always saddened me deeply.
Yes, Elly was very special. She is the one that pretty much took this whole thing in a new direction. I keep hoping that Wrigley will show up some day, but it is wonderful seeing his two other siblings come visit me every day. They are healthy and doing great! Thank you for your nice comments, and I wish you a great week! :-))))))
Thanks for another awesome video. I'm surprised that the middle and big ones don't remember how good you are to them and come see you every day. Great job brother!
Thank you, John! The middle one, Wrigley, disappeared last year in late August. The big one, Elly Mae who became Eli, (who I thought was a girl cuz she didn't grow out antler buttons til 6 months late!) and Birdie were finally accepted by big sis Adrian and her two boys, Duke and Doc. They came to see me all last winter and into the spring and summer (more recent videos). Eli has since moved on, and little Birdie still comes to visit me almost every day! :-)))))))))
Hi! I am happy you liked this! I am not amazing....just a very normal person. But yes, I do care, and I love when they come to visit me! Wishing you a wonderful week! :-))))))))))
It's beautiful where you live, it reminds me of home (SW Michigan). Here in Florida the landscape isn't quite the same. Interesting to watch these out of chronological order, it's like getting backstory. :) I'm glad that you managed to get these two to your yard!
It was grueling at times. Sometimes, I wouldn't see any of them for a week at a time. I would walk down the road looking for them many times a day. Just seeing them one time in a week would let me know they were okay. The neighbor ladies down the road would put out food for them each day to help them, thank goodness! Birdie and Elly Mae are doing great now! :-)))))
Love it!! So cute. Bucket head wants a big ball to play with. I wonder what they'd think of that? Maybe if they had a ball to play with they wouldn't try playing kick- the-Darryl. Lol
Hi Cali Girl! I have thought about buying a very lightweight ball at the store for the new little fawns to play with in the back yard. Buckley got his face "wing slapped" by the Daryl when he swiped at him! Wait...how did we get on this video? LOL
Hi Linda! I'm glad you like their names.:-) it can take me a while to get to know the fawns before I can name them. Yes, winter is close, and I hope they start showing up here more to get some nice snacks! :-)))
Sue (May) here again today after watching the video of Elly’s Orphaned Triplets. I’ve been Mom to 4 black Lab girls in 54 years of marriage...the last was Ellie (May). We had to put Ellie to sleep nearly two years ago at age 13. I loved this video, am a new subscriber and “tune in” every day while I walk on my treadmill here in Kansas.
Hi Sue May. It is so tough to lose a loved animal, especially when it has been part of the family for many years. I lost my Australian Shepard, Buddy, a few years back. He was born 80% blind, and sometimes, the young fawns would walk up behind him in the backyard to check him out and he wouldn't even know they were there. He was my little buddy for 9 years before the seizures got the best of him. I am happy you enjoy the videos, and that it gives you something to watch with on the treadmill! Best wishes to you:-))) ‘Until one has loved an animal, a part of their soul remains unawakened’~ Anatole France
Hi Paul. I am happy you liked the video. By the way, I don't always whisper to them. When they misbehave, I have to raise my voice a bit to get their attention. :-)))
Birdie is so tiny..thanks for the update on the triplets. Elly Mae, the perfect name after Momma. We're glad they come by to see you.. poor little things. It's good they have each other, I bet they lay together at night. Thanks again, please keep us posted.
Yes, birdie is very small compared to other fawns. I wish they would stop by here more. I still make multiple walks down the road each day in case they are out. I try to do a video about one every two months. Lately, it has been a bit more to give updates on the triplets. If I see them more often and get alot of video of them, I can post something sooner. I am glad you like the videos! Have a great day! :-)
Hello again ! I wondered and wondered what happened to you and your dear deer and it is only now that I've seen both your last videos. I am so happy you found such beautiful names for your three children, because surely you must know by now that you are both their Dad and their Guardian Angel. You, your wonderful neighbours and all the dear deer, but especially the 3 little ones are the same big family. I hope Wrigley will soon appear, I was so sorry to learn about their lovely Mom, I hope he is not gone to join her so soon. Birdie is such a nice choice and Elly Mae daughter too. Your videos are such a joy and the music you always choose is perfect. Thanks for sharing your piece of Heaven on Earth with us, because that's what you have there. Best regards to all of you !
I am not 100 % sure, one can never be, but I think that Elly Mom was your favourite, probably because of her super gentle nature. In the video she last appeared she gave you tons of kisses and left her babies into your care.
Thank you for such nice comments, Sandy. I wish I could see the little ones more and help them grow faster. but it is such a joy when I do get so spend a few minutes with them. I still watch for Wrigley every day. He had a very unique look in his lower jaw that made him stand out. I really hope he shows up again.. I am happy you like their names, and that the videos touch you in a magical way. I feel very blessed to have such special friends come and see me each day. :-)))
Elly was the first deer to come right up to me and let me pet her when she was eating....after 1 1/2 years of feeding a group of them. She became my favorite. Last year, she brought her triplets up to see me when they were 5 weeks old. This year, she brought her new triplets close to me at 3 weeks old. We had a very special bond that I will continue to miss each day. I wish I could do so much more for her and her babies. :*-(
flyfish, I knew it ! I found your channel only 2 months ago but I watched all your videos put together. Probably for her sweet tenderness. My favorite is Zoe, she is so playful. I am so sad, first Rocky went away and Adrian stayed, then Emma & Isaac gone and Levi still here, then good Elly Mom. I could kill those hunters if this is the cause. I hate such monsters called hunters, I wish someone would hunt them for a change. On the other hand, Marcie, so strong over these past years, still around. And Adrian is a mom now, Elly girl would have been a sweet young granny. Time flies so fast for our best friends, we do not have enough of it to spend with them. I wish the triplets will stay by your side and let you care for them. Have a nice day !
I’m so happy you’re taking care of Ellys babys they are growing fast I love their names. God bless you for taking care of his beautiful creations, take care of your self I’m always looking forward for your videos , see next time
Thank you, and I am glad you like the videos....and their new names. :-))) I wish I could do more for the babies. I don't get to see them often, but when I do, it is very special! Enjoy your week! :-)))
Oh yes, they are pretty careful around here when driving down the road. The deer become very perceptive to the traffic, too. I watch them get close to the road and listen and watch for traffic before crossing....even the little fawns. :-))))
Hi my friend! I tried many, many times to give them a bottle and they were just too afraid. At least, they would come up and eat some apple pieces, and later, they would eat little deer pellets and some veggies and corn. Two of them come to see me every day now (more recent videos) and are healthy and doing great! :-)))
Hi J. Yes, it was tough seeing them lose their momma, Elly, and be all alone. I was thankful just to be able to see the orphans once or twice a week through the late summer and fall. They were difficult to find. Little Birdie and Elly Mae come to see me almost every day now and are doing great! You can see them in the latest videos. Many times, they are with big sister Adrian, and her boys, Duke and Doc. She helps to watch over them now. :-)))))))
Thanx for forwarding the link, Bro ! I sure hope that Wrigley shows his face ! He's too young to be out looking for a girlfriend yet . Maybe he found bunch of guys to hang out with , and will find their way back to your place when they get hungry enough........ We may head to mom's this weekend-- but don't say anything, in case it falls thru . Will let you know -- it's been way too long !
Elly Mae is strong like her mother and seems to be exhibiting her traits. When she has fully established herself, I think she will take to you just like Elly did.
Hi Robert. She does remind me a lot of Elly. Elly was a bit stubborn when I first started giving her treats. The day she walked up to me for the first time ( 1 1/2 years later) and let me pet her while she ate, I knew there was something special there. I am hoping her new fawns will grow to trust me the way their momma did. :-)))
Hi my friend! We are not sure what happened to Elly. The neighbors found her down in the woods one day and we don't know if she suddenly fell ill, or if she broke a leg or hip. It was sad losing her, and very hard on her little triplet fawns.
Its crazy how Birdie doesnt seem to sprout much. Just staying timy, frail looking. Im no wildlife deer expert, but is this natural, even if on occassion? I hope Wrigley comes back with Birdie and Elly Mae to say hello. Im glad that Birdie started to remember you again. Its just sad though, seeing them being pushed away (rejected) by another mother and her kids. Poor things just want love and protection. 😢
The three triplets only got to nurse from their momma Elly for 3 weeks instead of 3 months. They were all pretty small compared to other fawns. Thank goodness the neighbors have put food out for them. I am positive it was critical for their survival. I was just down the road and Birdie ate out of my hand again. Elly Mae is getting curious, but won't come up to me yet. I'll be patient. I hope Wrigley shows up again, too. He was so friendly, and used to wait for me by the porch so I could come out and feed him. :-)))))
Hi! Unfortunately, we haven't seen the middle one for about two months now. I still keep an eye out for him when fawns come into my yard, or when I walk down the road. I can only hope he is doing well, and hope to see him again one day. :-)))
Thanks for the post, I have been wondering about them. Do you mix the corn with anything? I know deers like apples, but have you ever tried pears? Curious as my friend has apple trees and pear trees I thought about stocking up for the winter. Put out feed blocks but I think it would be nice to give him something different every now and then. Thanks again for the Post!
They ALL love corn. I just have to be careful with young fawns, or new deer that show up. Corn can upset their digestive system if they get too much. Some like apples. I have tried other fruits and veggies, but they have eaten very little of them. Levi did eat part of a green pepper once....and liked it! I mix a nutritional apple flavored pellet in with some corn for the young fawns. Best of luck to you with your deer!
Hi Sara! I am so thankful I get to spend, at least, a little time with the fawns. I hope little Wrigley shows back up one day. He was always so friendly, and would be waiting for me outside at daybreak. I hope you are doing well, and that you are enjoying your sweet deer friends! :-)))
Good morning! Have a day off today, so will be binge watching all these episodes! Again I say "Thank you for loving them and caring for these truly lovely and noble creatures" 💕
