Great video. I've been looking at purchasing one of these but the Bak Rak website is really terrible. Having just watched this I've ordered mine and will be collecting it on Thursday.
Looks good, with a good load rating - BUT - what exactly stops any Left / Right sway ? It's placed onto a 50mm steel towball - apart from the "pin" - what else stops it from moving around ??
Note for anyone looking at this video. The basket that attaches to the base unit is no longer in manufacture. The Base unit is still available but you cannot purchase the basket that slides onto it.
What about rear lights and number plate once you've loaded it all up with your camping stuff? And, No you can't just drive off with it folded up like that.
Help I've just bought one of these with the extra large box,but there are no instructions of how to configure the bolts so I can tilt it down together access to my back door, does anyone know how to do this??
Wow, how good is that, you could put your luggage in it, your shopping, your dog can fit init as well, little kids, I can see that is well handy, the land rover equivalent of the wicker basket on the front of old dears bikes. Really informative as well on the difficulties of putting 1 BOLT in place to lock it in, and when it folded up, well, I just thought I got to have one, if its good enough for Ian Beale then it's good enough for me. ;0)
