Yea I just figured this out! Lol I was like oh wow it’s not ending we are in the car with mike driving now and politically explaining that the CVT is boring but great for folks that don’t think about the car
Mind boggling that Toyota has sold over 45 million Corollas over its history. I believe this the best selling car in history. Love your in depth reviews! 😁
The resin they sold so many because it was cheap basic transport. This Corolla is far from that and the sales numbers are far from dominant these days.
@@Mr99Burns Toyotas even if not dominating easily is one of the best cars out there they are affordable they outlast many other cars and to fix them isn’t an arm and a leg plus the aftermarket support for them is high
I know this is an older review but I’ve been thinking about getting something like this, this is an amazing review! Thanks for helping me consider my options!
You should show how to change the speedometer from digital to analog view. Meter > OK > Analog. That displays a digitized analog type speedometer. I think it looks much better. Put the vehicle in sport mode and the speedometer turns to red. Also, the JBL premium audio system option in that trim is outstanding. That should be mentioned. I have that exact vehicle in blue crush metallic. The Lane Trace Assist doesn’t steer the vehicle over the lines ever like you claim. It works great and gently steers the vehicle back towards the center of the lane if the driver veers to the lane lines.
yes it does! that was gonna be my first color choice when i bought my 2020 xse corolla but they didn’t have it so my second choice was that celestite metallic color so i went with that one and i’m glad i did. the color contrast varies depending on the amount of day light. such a beautiful color. it can even look baby blue, to grey with a very light purple depending on the amount of daylight
These things are so ugly lmao- unless you are a Corolla & CVT lover. I just don’t see much good in this ride. It’s slow and noisy with only 1 physical gear. Not any good storage. Crazy fish face front end. Uncomfortable front seats. Crappy information screen that’s poorly engineered and thick as heck. The list goes on. Get a Civic!
The 2014-2016 models had the best exterior design, shame they changed it. My first car was the 2014 S Plus in Blue Crush Metallic, looked insanely good.
Mike, awesome job! I really like the color plus the unusual seat design. I will say that I am comforted to know that you have some extra yellow hands in the trunk if you break one. :o)
Excellent review Mike. For us minorities , I’d love to see a review of the hatchback 6 speed manual driving impressions. Keep up the great in-depth reviews sir!
You keep mentioning road noise yet I can hear very little during the drive, and thats even wearing earbuds. Maybe not test a Lexus/Mercedes etc back to back with a compact economy car? Lol..just thought. But to be fair other reviewers have commented on tire noise with the top trim XSE with 18" wheels.
You can actually add it as an add on, I just learned this not to long ago.. cost about $200… even though I bought a cigarette charger that has more than enough for any rear passengers I may have and it’s not uncomfortable for them to use thru the glove box
Listening to mike try to say this car is for zombies who don’t care another cares was funny! Trying to be gentle and polite! lol I could never drive this car without aiming towards the end of a cliff and smashing the accelerator! I will stick with my Mazda’s and Feeling Alive!!!! Thanks for bringing this car to us Mike! I watched it all to be supportive and it’s fine, but I knew I’d need a Red Bull to get through a Corolla review! Ha
The 2021 Camry only has 3 inches more second row leg room so the space in the Corolla isn't bad. It's just that you can push the front seats back a LOT which makes the second row leg room look like there's not much. An average sized man can comfortably sit behind another average sized man in the Corolla.
@@braetonwilson4296 corolla only has 76.8 combined legroom according to Alex On Auto, it’s the worst in the segment, Focus used to be the worst, since it’s discontinued, so corolla is the worst.
@@blackwhirlwind1245 That's because the other entries in the segment have full size sedan levels of rear legroom. Corolla's combined legroom is more than adequate and is only 3 inches less than the Camry.
I really dislike how Toyota place the tablet style screen high up on the dash, it’s not a good placement for any touch screen. I think tablet style screen works for non touchscreen like Mazda and Acura. but it’s bad for touch screen since you hands will get tired easily.

I have this car. Love it, great gas mileage, ride is smooth and comfy enough.
Is it good to drive it far away in highway .. the same Camry?
yes, i was really surprised about the ride quality when i drove my friend's new corolla
