Every time I thought it was looking good and assumed it was close to being finished, you added another more awesome layer and another and another! It just kept getting more and more beautiful! The hyper realistic character you have captured is truly inspiring. A machine could not do better. I absolutely love your art.

I am so in love with this. I wish you had step by step instructions ❤. Do u happen to have any videos with step by step with using all of the materials?
Thanks for the kind words, Stephanie!❤️ I'm sorry, but I don't film tutorials. I just show the process.
How perfect seawhale
Thank you!😊
How about more videos your fantastic❤
New videos are sure to come.🙌
This is beautiful. Can I ask do you heat the clay? If so is it before painting? I'm new to pottery and find your video very inspiring, thank you for sharing :)
Thanks very much! Yes, I heat the clay before painting and a few times during the sculpting process. I use the Cernit oven-bake polymer clay. Have fun creating.❤
Brilliant....did you bake it at alternative stages....or was it left to the end ,when you finished the piece?👍🏻
Thank you!😊 While sculpting, I bake the clay several times for 5-10 minutes. That makes it a lot easier for me to shape it.
At the end of sculpting, I bake the figure for about 20 minutes.
Stunning work! What a tedious process. I would like to ask why you poked those holes before you wrapped more clay over it. Thank you 🌸
Thank you!🙏😊 I've really enjoyed creating it.
I pierced the holes in the whale's body because there can be air between the clay and the foil, and the clay can puff up when heated.
@@Mashferum Thank you for the inspiration 😊 and the advice. Good luck in all your future projects 💕😇
This is beautiful! May I ask for a list of products used?
Thanks Stephanie!🤗 You can see the product list in the description below the video.
Fantastic work. Where do you get the metal rod to attach the whale to? They seem essential to sculpt aquatic creatures (without sculpting a whole base for each one), but I haven't been able to find them. And do you buy the wooden base?
Thanks a lot! I use inexpensive knitting needles as the metal rod. For the base, I used a wooden tray from the H&M Home Store.
@@Mashferumwhat is the paste that u put in that hole?
@nurayeesyanatasya6633 It was Epoxy putty (Cold weld).
It's beautiful and really inspiring, how do you make the "muddy" clay ? Do you mix it with acetone ?
Thank you! So glad you liked it.😊
I mix polymer clay with Fimo Liquid or Cernit Glue to achieve the consistency I need.
Thank you so much for taking the time reply to everyone, you are awsome @@Mashferum
Hi, Beautiful Beautiful work!! would love to give it a shot myself! am I able to get the print out of the whale photo you used as a size reference at all?
Thanks! So glad you liked it.😊 I used a free 3d whale model from CGDive channel. And then printed it out.

@@Mashferum oops sorry for the late reply! Thank you so much for getting back to me. Looking forward to making this for my shelf
Hi! I wonder if with each layer of clay you added you baked each one first. At what temperature and time did you bake each layer, and how long was the final baking time? I love this whale, you turned out amazing! Thanks 🥰
Hi, Laura, I'm glad you liked it.😊
While sculpting, I bake the clay several times for 5-10 minutes at 110-130 degrees Celsius. That makes it a lot easier for me to shape it.
At the end of sculpting, I bake the figure for about 20 minutes.
@@Mashferum OK, thanks a lot! You're very kind ❤️
You may using aerograff.. to paint
Thanks for the advice.😉
I have been sculpting and painting figures for the past 2 years which has caused a lot of floaters in my eye ...do you also get floaters doing detailed work?..what kind of environment should I have to do these kind of detailed sculptures?
I'm sorry to hear you've had to deal with this problem. So far, my eyes haven't been affected by the sculpting. Perhaps you could try using a desk magnifier lamp
Maybe try to actively practicing looking at things far away and taking breaks?
Great work! Where did you get the reference photos?
Thank you!🙌 I used a free 3d whale model from CGDive channel and then printed it

Thank you!
😃🤞👌😘
😘😘😘
Would you mind if I want to ask you where I can get humpback whale template that you used? 🥺
I used a free 3d whale model from CGDive channel. And then printed it out.

@@Mashferum thank you 💖💖💖
*YOUR ETSY* store link doesn't work for me. Do you still have a store? Beautiful sculpture.
Oh thanks for telling me, I'll fix that.
Glad you liked the whale, it's already sold out but there are more sculptures in the store.
its so beautiful, can i use this for my school work?
Glad you liked it, Anna!♥️ Thanks for asking, and yes, you can use this in your work. 🤗
@@Mashferum aaw fine, thank you!!
*Неймовірно круто!👍😊🇺🇦😉*
Щиро дякую, Вадиме!☺️💙💛
Can i use air dry clay?
Sure, If you know how to work with it.
Curiously enough, the only thing that went through the mind of the bowl of petunias as it fell was "Oh no, not again"
Hi! Your work is fantastic!! Can I use this as a reference to make one myself? I'm new at sculpting, and I'd love to practice with your tutorial! Also, can I ask you why you poked holes on the whale's body?
Hi Marina! I'm so glad you liked my whale!😊 Thank you for asking and yes, of course you can use this video as a reference.
I pierced the holes in the whale's body because there can be air between the clay and the foil, and the clay can puff up when heated.
Welcome to the world of sculpting, you have a lot of interesting things ahead.❤
1:43 how do you get the clay this texture? And what type of tape is this? Last question, do you just poke the hole on the base, take it off, and bake?
1. Polymer clay + Fimo Liquid or Cernit glue.
2. “Tamia” Masking tape.
3. That’s right.
@@Mashferum thanks so much!!!
Красиво! А на заказ можете сделать ?
Спасибо! На заказ давно не делаю. Этот кит продаётся, есть ссылка под видео.
