  • The Junkers Ju87 was more commonly known as the "Stuka". A divebomber which saw success in the early days of World War Two, but as the war progressed it became apparent that it was becoming increasingly obsolete. Efforts were made to make it suitable for a variety of roles, including the addition of 37mm cannons for use in an anti-tank role.

    The Revell "B" version is a nice build. The B is a rebox from Italeri. The color callout letters make sense for the colors that require mixing two or more Revell paints.

    • @ModelMinutes
      @ModelMinutes  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I might have to look for the B version. I get why Revell do their painting instructions this way, but I still find it annoying

    • @J.A.Hansen
      @J.A.Hansen 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ModelMinutes I agree.I got a intruction of the modell where the painting instrunction is coloured,but imcomplete😖
      However my modell was part of the Battle of Britain Set which included in 1:72 a Spitfire,Hawker Hurricane and a Ju 88 incl.aquar colours and paintbrush for 30 € which is okay.
      Nice.There is a lot of flesh on the modells,but with the right tools,its no problem.
      However for me this is like holiday cause i normaly buildet only Battleships in 1:350 and so on.
      The problem with revell is that they been sold to another company and the management of the company seems to miss the point.
      They produce the modells all over the EU and don't have a good quality control anymore.Therefore the price of the modells are fair.
      But i also think that they should take care of that.
      Also i think its very strange that they released Modells in the USA that you can't buy in Europe.
      However.There are many Modell Companys and if i can't what i want from Company X,well then i go to Company Z and everything is fine.I'm glad to see that Airfix produce now in a very good quality.
      Who knows maybe Matchbox will have a comeback....That would be great.
      So that is that.Nice unboxing review🛩🔝

I am inspired by your builds and watch your vids to improve my model skills. I am now a lot better than I was and am currently working on a 1:32 revell corsiar which is turning out to be a really badly built kit with a lot of filler needed. After the models completed I am planning on making a new model either a tornado or a bae hawk which will hopefully be a lot better.

    Something ive noticed with revell recently i their paint colours don't seem to match with box art, painting guides or the irl aircraft, 2 examples of this I have
    1. 172 PBY catalina in the Aleutians campaign blue-grey paint scheme, Revell say to use a grey when irl pictures of the exact same aircraft show a blue
    2. 1/72 Sukhoi Su33 Flanker D, Revell's instructions show a grey, light blue, purple camo scheme when irl pictures and the boxart both show a grey, light blue, medium blue camo scheme

    It appears the wing tips are different on the 2 types, so that’s why they are separate. When you look at the painting instructions the wing tips are different on the 2 versions. Although looking at the assembly instructions it doesn’t appear to show it or on the sprue map. Either that or I missed something.

    Tank buster tactics, you start diving at a high altitude and aim for the rear deck of a t34 or similar stalinium tank ... the upper deck of armour is thin, and the round can penetrate the top plate of the turret and engine deck... either killing the crew or ignition of the fuel or ammo.
    Flying low and aiming for sloped armour is not a good idea the round need to hit at a 90* angle for effective penetration or it will ricochet and you will have a bad day, especially if they have AA guns close.
    Because the ju87 was slow you should use the boom and zoom tactic, use a dive to gain airspeed attack your target with that extra speed use it to pull out of a dive escape and climb to a safe altitude..
    Rinse and repeat
    Basically the long answer to say the box art height looks correct 🤣🤦🏼‍♂️

Gotta say I loathe Revell's instruction sheets and paint guides. Their insistence on end opening boxes is a turn off and inconvienient as hell! a comment in general - i cannot see why such reviews include what seems to me an unnecessary review of what's on the box eg code, side view, company advertising etc. often, this unnecessary detailing, perhaps justified on the basis of 'full disclosure for all actual/potential builder/colllector' may be in contrast with comments on mould design, potential fitment etc.
    the challenge is surely to focus on getting as much into such reviews and avoid the generic, and maybe direct the review towards that segment of the potential audience for whom the review has been made?
    anyhow, this is a jibe against the current standard of youtube review and not especially that of the review itself.
