I posted this already, but my wife and I went to this show about a year after we were married. This is when NYC was till safe and friendly. Live changing show.
Mark, This is her regular band. Look at other concerts, like Rio and Under The Bridge. It is a great R & B band. Even when she was performing at age sixteen, you see the same bass player, piano and backup singers. You've only begun to appreciate them. Look under Joss Stone In Concert on TH-cam and go nuts.
I was at this great show. Joss Stone never introduced any band members. I think they were NY studio musicians and gospel singers who had rehearsed her music in advance. But, I think the sound check might have been the first time this amazing band and Joss got together on stage. Incredible night.
I was also at the show. The wife and I stayed at the Roosevelt Hotel. It was a nearly perfect evening.
Was so fortunate to be there!!! Amazing show!!! I wish you all the success in the world...you sooo deserve it, Joss! Great band, too!!
I've seen this one live and I'm watching it once or twice everyday since. I think it might be an addiction.
I know what you mean. I feel like I am addicted to this concert, Under The Bridge, Rio and all of them. I've watched them dozens of times, and will continue to. She is kind of arrogant, but so beautiful it is understandable.

This represents Joss's band at its' best: JB's former lead trumpet Hollie Farris & lead sax Jeff Watkins, 2 great keyboards(Christian & Abel), animated A.J. Nilo on lead, Pete (incarnate) on bass, fab backup trio Artia, Ellison, & Antonia, and the great Rick Jordan on traps. Solid soul/R&B/funk. This the "Janis Joss" that we have come to love. In stark contrast to the "Rasta Joss" (Damian Marley) 4 piece reggae arrangements being campaigned in 2015. Come back, Joss!!
+Trackman Additionally, believe this was Hollie's last appearance with Joss. Jeff also until 2014. "Rhino Horns" + Jay Z drummer T.Royster, Jr. comprised major personnel shift for/per Joss in Paris(9/20/12), Brazil & Argentina(Nov.2012), and on into much of 2013. Also. Abel Pabon, organist, played only Can.& US venues behind Joss & Ty Taylor through Oct.2012, leaving Christian Lohr (and alternates) as single keyboards going forward.
