This episode was truly amazing. It really captured the terror that a soldier in heavy combat experiences.

It is said that after mid 42 German unit's were in combat every second day, for an army never trained in a fighting retreat that is really ALL they did for the last 30 month's of WW2

Too bad Germany was in combat with soo many Nations all at one time. Besides the Nations Germany was in combat with there were all the Nations it had to have occupation troops in.

You should read 'retreat from moscow' - it gives a good idea of how they retreated and kept the war going for 3 more years... somehow. That author has a bunch of good youtube videos too btw.

@@Theiliteritesbian I knew 3 German Veterans well, men who had been Internee's in Eire during WW2 and in each case they were the only survivors of a group of brother's, German's seemed to have moderate to larger families then, 3 but usually more. About 220 German Internee's ended their war in Ireland, 2/3 Kreigsmarine and the remainder Luftwaffe. I remember growing up in rural Ireland and we had a neighbour's farm that was accidentally bombed, in Wexford, maybe 100 miles off target to the West

They did a good job of a fighting retreat, until Hitler started insisting on the “fortress” concept for locations that were not really fortresses.

These accounts of the Eastern front from 1943-45 with the endless retreats always make me wonder. What if Germany had hightailed it way back to some geographically defendable and strategically important position, say, at or East of Poland, and had really dug in their heels there. I wonder if they could have stopped the Russians then? Instead both sides spent over two years in battles of attrition and Russia had more manpower, and resources.

I have to leave another comment. I have been laughing and being mad at the same time throughout this whole video this guy takes the moral high ground and talks how he’s going to change the world for the better and bring it out of the darkness why the whole time during war War IIII, his country made human beings into soap

Conquered all of Europe in a most cruel and brutal fashion. Left tens of millions dead in their wake. Even with the war lost they continued to fire missiles at London. Lack of awareness is breathtaking in this one.

They're still doing it. Not with weapons but via legislation and the EU. Slowly but surely, in collusion with France, they have made Napoleon's and Hitlers dream come through. Germany and France have imprisoned the remaining nations of Europe into a mad, corrupt and partly undemocratic political union.

This German soldier is playing a show game with his diatribe he quotes the saying, all men are equal, and gives examples of physical attributes that clearly show that is not true. When the phrase, all men are equal is meaning that all men are equally assured of certain rights to exist is the true meaning of that phrase. Also, he says that the Germans are open to self examination. They are in a very arrogant way, because no matter what they see they still believe in the same thing new information has no effect on them. He even goes further to state that he wants to bring back the old ideals that the new world has corrupted, that is double talk for the excuse of extermination camps, and seems like he’s already trying to justify it when the world finds out this soldier. Seems like he knew the truth all along and knows That he is about to find out the true meaning of you will weep what you so
