Yah but it wont fit their korean audience, their korean audience is actually largely younger teens but even the whole general public likes those weird refreshing songs from red velvet

My point was that so many of their b-sides are so good that they ALL could easily be title tracks. Not a lot of other groups can say that. Usually all the work is put into their title track and then the b-sides are just sort of half-assed and...there.
@@Sajirah Ah I see gotcha, yes and bless them for it and their AR team. I think we really got blessed with a group where allt heir voices fit so well with each other(the harmonies OMG) it really is apparent to any one in music and with that they can really play around and make the best b-sides

I really cannot stress how good RV is at harmonizing. They are probably the best in the industry (I don't really listen to boy groups and I have limited knowledge in girl groups, so best in the industry is heavily biased). The only other groups I can think of in terms of god-like harmony is probably Mamamoo, Oh My Girl, Lovelyz, Fromis_9 (not really harmony, but backing vocals and ad-libs)
You should check out Spica (they have already disbanded but they were amazing vocalists) and SNSD

You can make a case for RV having the best vocals in the industry. Everyone touts Mamamoo, but I always felt like "power vocal" doesn't translate to better harmonies or conveying the song's meaning. I feel like RV's producers get a lot of enjoyment working with them
I think Mamamoo is the best at harmonizing but I agree Red Velvet is absolutely up there

I think Red Velvet is best appreciated through their albums as opposed to singles or MVs. If I'm not sold on the single, I know to check out the album, and they never disappoint.

But imo Day 1 is very guitary, very funky and experimental overall, really fun (A very Seulrene)
Day 2 is very much a callback to 50's,60's, 70's, and even 80's R&B/African American inspired summer tracks. Very vocal heavy (imo very much a Wenjoyri album)
but that's just me at 2am. Overall, I'm Day 2> Day 1 but good golly is Day 1 still amazing. Day 2 is probably my favorite RV EP next to RBB and Russian Roulette

What I like about RV is that everytime I hear people reviewing their b-sides, they love it but out of the b-sides they've heard, they would always have that one b-side song that suddenly becomes their jam. And we all know RV is the queen of discography because every song in the album sounds different. 💖😊
(I know that b-sides are always different but RV b-sides are just so different and that's what I like about it 💖)

@@regalias7170 most companies have the intention of possible expansion into the Western market - so since rap is fairly big here, they take that route. also some members don't have the best vocal abilities, so they try to accomodate.

Bing Bing is iconic. Even their individual vocals slay in that song. The beat is lit. Sunny Side Up and LP tied in my 2nd favorite side.
FINALLY. I actually thought you were planning on waiting for Day 3 before you did a listening party lol . ANYWAY. Just who exactly said LP was the best song, fight me right now. Also, I DESERVE a Love is the Way MV set in a 60's diner that switches to a stage with the girls in retro dresses and hairstyles as they sing and dance in front of standing mics. I CAN PICTURE IT PERFECTLY. But I loved both albums too. While Day 1 is totally for Summer, Day 2 is a time machine ride. It takes you to different eras of music from 50's/60's to 90's R&B and even early 2000's pop. Overall, I think they planned this concept perfectly with the amusement park/rollercoaster ride because it really does feel like you're on one.
I mean I wouldnt mind a Wendy rap album
