EXACTLY everyone! Jordon did these moves as if they were a textbook layup, and he did them consistently! Kobe, Lebron, and D.wade do them like there "luck" circus shots.. rather just "another" shot for MJ, that is the difference by FAR!

Notice at 4:50 how quickly MJ identifies the double coming and immediate reaction, rendering the double team ineffective immediately and forcing the foul. Jordan IQ was just Godly, he was a master on the basketball court.

that circus shot one of the great moves in the history of basketball

I've seen both of those crazy layups before but I didn't know that they happened in the same game. Lol. That had to be frustrating for Dallas..

This is one of Michael Jordan's greatest moves, And I do also believe, This is one of his best games, And one of his best highlight reels ever.

Jordan is a determined player. He quickly gathers himself on every mistake and make plays off his mistakes. Many people would have gave up and called a time out when they are falling out of bounds with the basketball.

      26. I was 3 when I went. I used to live in TX, so we went to bulls game when they played the mavericks. My dad told me it was the year the bulls won their 2nd title. Since they only play in Dallas once a year since the bulls are in the east and the mavericks are in the west, that is how I figured out the dates.

kobe was great- but he s like the kid who can imitate hendrix perfectly. noone else could- and that takes great talent.
jordan IS the original- he MADE the moves. that takes genius .

Right! MJ's moves that I've seen him do looks to appear as if MJ knew that it was going in because of his control in mid-air and speed. From what I know, MJ's highlights are basically ALL of his FG's made and not just these layups

Both Jordan and LeBron are great players. What makes Jordan amazing and separates him from LeBron is his ability to effortlessly create his own show without slowing down the offense. Study it for yourself, when LeBron gets the ball, most of the time LBJ holds the ball for an oddly long time or dribbles excessively while he tries to figure out what he wants to do. And if he can't blow by you, he shoots the jump in a "i'll settle for this" fashion- which isn't necessary bad, it's just that you can see he's limited in his offensive repertoire.
Jordan, on the other hand, displays a confidence every time he has the ball because he has SOOOOOO many moves: Triple threat position from when he can jab step you to create space and then pull up or freeze you then blow by then pull up or finish at the rim or fadeaway or post you up. ALL IN FLOW without dribbling excessively. Growing up watching Jordan was truly amazing when I compare him to today's players. And it's clear his game translates to any era- just see Kobe who copied his whole game and see Jordan's Wizards stint in which he was torching taller, younger players with his diminished athleticism.
On the LeBron side, you've got to love how much he can with such a large frame. He's truly a treat to watch.

that is another reason why people won't forget jordan,he came into the league with a never before seen variety of moves: just an unreal mix of creativity on one hand and technique on the other hand.
a player like kobe who seems to be above everybody else in terms of variety of moves may have only half of M.J. moves, wade is another one.
in that category i prefer wade because kobe may have more technique but wade has more creativity i believe.

There was a split-second in it, but technically, it's travel. At that point in MJ's career, it's doubtful any referee would have ever called that. Imagine this shot being made, but not counting due to travel. One of MJ's best ever moves...

Bill Walton on commentary or am I just hearing things?? Never seen a game that far back with him on commentary. Was he really doing Mavericks games at this time?? Interesting this is the game where Jordan leaving NBA merchandising is mentioned. Man that made basketball videogames suck for the rest of the decade!

Dude you have to watch the replays and visually pair them together to see that clearly ball left hand before landing. Unless you're referring to steps. And ain't not way that was steps.

  • @SntYvsLrnt

0:42 shouldn't that been a travel or an up-and-down? He shot the ball AFTER he landed. You can't do that.
