Yes similar but this works through relays instead of direct peer-2-peer that secure scuttlebutt does. But with both you own the identity. Nostr is a bit faster than SSB and uses less storage space on the device as you only sync posts you are following. SSB downloads everything from those you follow, and must be in strict order of posting.

Websites are a bit different from social media. Nostr is pretty good on social media as are Retroshare and Secure Scuttlebutt (done videos on those too). I do list some possible social media ones on my site at gadgeteer.co.za/altsocialmedia/. But website risk is always with the hosting service. So like with peer-to-peer social media, other alternative is to host the site from home or at a remote VPS of your own, and you can use something like Cloudflare to obscure the IP address. Cloudflare is the best free service for this, but there are also paid services to do something similar.
1:47 It would be cool if this was 10 slides, and each slide highlighted one of the bullet points. so you could flip through each slide while you are commenting on it. could always be done in the post/editing too.
Yes it could have been, but I really want to try keep the videos as awareness overviews otherwise they'd be way longer even. I already feel a bit bad, they are often 40 to 50 mins long. I'll think about maybe doing pop up windows though in future - although Nostr did have a lot more info than many other videos (apart from my home hosting one maybe).
