can I build it next to my house so that I can limit mob spawns around my house bg lighting up the whole area?? will mobs still only spawn in the mob grinder??
Quick tip: i recommend using campfires on the bottom where the mobs land instead of slabs. That way you can farm while afk and the mobs wont drop useless stuff like bows potatos and other stuff
The four trap doors at the hole are not necessary and also if you remove the water in the middle of the drop tube the mobs will fall you their death so you can just AFK. If you need the XP then leave it but if you just want the drops then let them die from fall damage. Also build it up to 30 blocks to insure death on impact.

I have a mobfarm but it's 100 blocks up and the funnel for the mobs is higher but it doesn't produce that many mobs. I'll build it like this next and test out the differences. Might just be the bedrock mob cap but we'll see.
Not gonna lie your material list is wrong like 5 different times. 68 trap doors 25 stacks of cobble. Didn’t include signs and you only need 16 torches..
Hello! It is suggested to build over an ocean just because the mobs have higher rates when they aren't near caves! You don't have to do it on an ocean. On land just build up higher than 60 blocks. Build like 120 blocks high. To have a lot of mobs spawn, you can also increase the width of this farm so more mobs farm. Your welcome!@@nohjnudkids
This is great thank you, but where you put the water in the column is too high up - every spider that falls dies before i can kill it so I think the water needs to be a couple blocks lower for future reference.
For new players for bedrock the mobs have a 100 block spawn radius up and down and a aggro range that is shorter, so you have to be with in 18 to 20 blocks to just get the mobs to move around, (getting them to walk off the spawn pads) spiders can make it slow if you don’t have enough vertical height on the pads as well, best to make a 4 tier spawner so the other mobs will make the spiders fall, and best to use obsidian at the kill chamber as well or blocks that have high explosive damage (creeper explosion) So if you build up floors closer to spawner (not to close tho,) while waiting, it will be real quick! If you build over land you have to be 100 blocks above it! So if your at y89 level then start your base level of spawner at y 189 I always go a few more to be safe with land. Hope that helps! This build has work for ever just know you mob spawn limits and aggro range and you rates will be real good, just be careful in hardcore!!
I have built this and I am glad that it works. The List of needed Items is incomplete tho. Can you tell me if this base is stackable to increase spawn rates ?
Sorry if this is late! Try using hard mode. Hard mode spawns way more mobs. Make sure there aren't any torches or sources of light. Make sure you are 60+ blocks in the air!
Oh, I have a question so I will eat right but every time I put water down one of the water sources isn’t there so I have to add another one, but then it just goes into the middle again what do I do?
Spiders tend to clog up the funnel by climbing, there’s a way to prevent them spawning by placing trapdoors in the center of each 3x3 section of the spawning platform
Yes you can! If you increase it, it is likely more mobs can spawn! Just make sure you add another source of water mobs can fall through that way they don't die from fall damage!

Sounds like you build it on a river biome that means mobs cannot spawn there same with mushroom. Do not build it on those biomes this is important. Also make sure to set simulation distance 4 chunks that way can change the player spawning sphere from mobs spawning range *the mobs can spawn 24 blocks away from you and 44 blocks away from mobs despawning* . Building it higher in sky stop mobs spawning out of your farm that can cause mob cap population to be full and reduced the rates. So that's why in his video mob farm must be at sky or an ocean biome and spawning sphere should NOT touch the ground, ocean floor or either caves. This works on plains biome as well. Make sure the difficulty is set to hard. Another thing is reason why ur mob farm is slow probably the spiders can clog up lowers the efficiency. To prevent spiders from spawning. Place a trapdoor every 2 blocks away from another trapdoor because spiders needs 3x3 spawning spaces in 1.21 due to mobs spawning changes mobs can now spawn center of block. In 1.20 for spider spawn proof place a button, 1 block away from another button spiders needs 2x2 spawning space and mobs can spawn on north-west corner of block.
*Items needed:*

what if creeper spawns and explode while attacking?
Does it have to be on the ocean? Or is that just for best results
It's for best results because otherwise mobs spawn at other places on the ground instead of in the farm.
Does the simulation distance play a part in it like lower or higher for more mobs or something?
It affects how far mobs can spawn for you. Like sim 6 chunks needs to be 128 blocks high not sure. But me I always play with sim 4 chunks btw
