A clear diagnosis of Hell Let Loose syndrome. I was diagnosed with PS Syndrome a long time ago. Both games are good in their own respects, HLL being A LOT more casual with PS being more milsim.
how would you say PS is more of a milsim? HLL isnt by any means but im not familiar with PS.
@@harmony923 For me. PS kind of captures more of a feeling of possibility when it cone to implying more "Real world" WW2 tactics simply from the game flow. Both HLL and PS have similar structures in that you "Advance and secure" objectives in the same principle, if you get what I mean. HLL has that more "Battlefield" feeling to it where despite not being close to ArmA 3, PS has more of a resemblance to A3. I'd say it all comes down to just how the game feels to me, PS clearly being my favourite of the two.
Not as bad as my first time at the practice range. I couldn't figure out how to swap weapons 😂

From my experience of playing this, HLL and squad I’d say that HLL has the best atmosphere and infantry combat. Squad 44 has the best vehicle combat/mechanics. But Squad has a great mix of both games but put into a modern setting. As of now I haven’t played a lot of HLL since it seems almost impossible to even find a squad where one person other than myself actually talks.
HLL infantry combat is ass - it is arcady as fuck with no depth.

Hell Let Loose guns are zeroed in at a basically infinite range. Artillery is constantly causing spawn kills. Dying has no repercussions. There’s no reason to wait for a medic if the OP/Garry is close by. The sound is wholly unrealistic compared to S44. In what way is infantry better in HLL?
@@sakils2how has it got no depth? What exactly is shallow about it? PS is literally the same but a worse version, it looks like a cartoon and is straight garbage, having to drink tea every 5 mins to cross the map is considered milsim now?? Stop simping for this trash.

Seems like this has potential if you learn all the mechanics. HLL is slightly more casual and enjoyable, more of a game than a simulator.
I mean it's been out for years and died, got bought back and rebranded. It feels like a less enjoyable and atmospheric version of HLL.

Yeah it's more accurate in PS but it's trash to use. I don't think people that call HLL arcadey have actually played COD or BF....its definitely more user friendly in HLL but to say Arcadey is just silly
@@McBluffinGaming iam sorry but that is the truth, hll is so arcadey, but if u compare hll now vs 2019-2021 its much diffrent, ppl are comunicating,u have to go to fromtline by walking so we had to "think" where is good garry spot, and ppl doing a lot of garry building, hll WAS not arcadey and theres a lot of reason why hll is arcadey nowdays

@McBluffinGaming Between HLL and PS, HLL is way more casual and features balance over realism.
That's why it doesn't matter how many times you die in HLL, or why a Russian PTRS anti-tank rifle can kill a tiger tank from the front.
HLL is easier to get in and out of because it's arcadier.

Squad 44 isnt about fun and shoot and run its more about war it self and team work SLs talking withteach others and the Commander telling Squad members where to go wich dirction to fight from
if youk're looking for fun Squad 44 isnt the game that you're looking for here only the real face of war
Just turn the stg to semi… if you’re in full auto the recoil will cause you to bump fire the trigger. Dont shoot guns much do you?
I can tell you don’t shoot guns much. I’ve been around guns my entire life growing up in Texas. I also joined the infantry and was a saw gunner. That’s not how bump firing works. Can’t bump fire a full auto. You can fire a single round while on full auto easily.

Squad 44 rewards experience. It's not intended that green players find it easy and "fun". You put the hours in and you'll get there and see what it can really do. But in 2 hours you're worthless to the team and can't do anything right. Just like untested draftees were.
Indeed, while it doesn't necessarily require a full-fledged mil sim community to make a good time, though total respect for the great detail some ARMA folks put into operations they do. That being said, experience and building a rapport with some regulars on a Post Scriptum server or getting into some events (hopefully competition scene also revives with Squad 44 updates). Amazing fun times when I have formed a tank column/formation with other armor squads or linking up with an infantry squad leader who I was acquainted with and making an assault with an infantry rally spawn to back us up in the armor. Those types of tactics used to happen quite regularly on public servers, as I recall back before my job and house workload increased a bunch. 🙂

Game looks great, but the drink water thing is a bit much, i wouldn't mind it if you only had to use it half as much, or even a 1/3 as much.
I will say, the explosive effects and ability to run through bushes anywhere instead of the hedgerow walls is better than HLL. Some off the maps are nicer strickly for more building rooms. I love anyone being able to revive a teammate (Despite it being capped to one revive). Bayonets are a nice touch.
I still think HLL is better in the other areas. The stamina is meh (getting used to the canteen but it's annoying), selecting equipment during a game has been a huge pain, and everything else is extremely clunky. Like, I've had smoother gunplay in roblox games. No it doesn't need to be COD fast but I feel like the soldier has picked up the gun for the first time ever. And my game keeps crashing where HLL and literally every other game I have doesn't.
I can't speak on the vehicles myself as I haven't tried them and there isn't an option to practice with them in the gun range or training.
Honestly, I feel underwhelmed by it. It's cool and was the earlier "WW2 sim" but it's not that much different and the areas where it is different I'm not wanting the mechanics enough to constantly pull me back.
Overall, is a good game. I still think it's a lot of people with nostalgia for the good ol' days pre HLL.

The game tries to be more realistic than other games.
The canteen helps prevent you from being a super soldier by making you slow down here and there.

It's realy not....I mean there's a reason it died. Sound design overall better yes 80% of it is better. gameplay/graphics/immersion/maps no way.

People play Squad 44 for less than 2 hours, don't understand how the game works, get overwhelmed by a far more complex gameplay compared to arcade games, then think the game is not good 😂😂😂
Oh I get how it works. I just didn't enjoy it, and it doesn't have anything else going for it other than its more complex and the sound design is good.

I didn't need 2 hours to learn why the game died and had to be put on literal life support by brand new devs, just to die again in a few months time. I only needed 31 Minutes before I got my refund. Also I will add, it's not a bad game "Just" compared to Hell Let Loose (which it is.) It's a bad game when compared to any game, shit I'd take anal haemorrhoids over playing this game for a further 89 minutes.
HLL is an arcade game where you don't have to think too much, that's why is more popular than Squad44, coz people are lazy to think, they just wanna join a match and "Rambo" the other team, which results in bad matches, nobody knows what they're doing and it's just a total mess with no communication and the whole team spread all over the map. Not mentioning the toxic people that play HLL and just wants to ruin other peoples fun. Squad 44 at least has a nice community where majority of time, people know how to play the game already, so for that the gameplay experience is also better than HLL. Yeah, some people should be playing HLL instead of Squad 44 really...
PS Has already died once, and the reasons are plenty. It looking like a ps2 just happened to be one of mine, the player numbers don't lie, as for "toxic players in hll" I've played online games for 20 years + now, HLL is not toxic, and although there have been a small number of toxic people (like any game), HLL has so few to speak of, using it as a metric for why PS is better is nonsense, along with "no communication" lack of communication is an issue in every single online team based game, it is not exclusive to HLL, multiple members of our discord have stated it's very much the same for PS as well.@@alecisla and if your experience of HLL is people "rambo ing", no communication, and people all over the map?.... then you clearly either haven't actually played, or you played during a free week end, when most probably all the PS players came to give HLL a try. But at least we agree on one thing, More people should be playing HLL.
