    Marianne is incredibly sharp, honest, deep and thoughtful. I love Russell's style of interview and have come to admire him a great deal as well. One of the most intelligent wide-ranging interviews I have heard, perhaps ever. Thank you!

      Russel did a good job and was well, Russel. Marianne, Yeah No. Marianne avoided answering almost every meaningful question given by quoting true intelligence and pandering to the audience. She actually said very little. A rose by any other name is still a Politician.

      @@Anti_thesis I never feel her vibe. She says some true stuff, yet nothing much revelatory or unexpected and a lot of it quite limited in perception in my view. Her energy feels rather hard, stern, tense and self-righteous. Not warm. I don't think people can be truly wise and yet not warm, kind and relaxed. It's feels like she's focused on being perceived as intelligent and worthy and in control, as a woman in the face of the female negative stereotypes, rather than just opening her heart and soul genuinely, as a human being. She also presents a lot of questions and issues instead of providing answers. Also I attended an online seminar of her once and she was very angry and rigid and upset about professionals in the healing and spiritual growth field not following and teaching the course in miracles, claiming that is the only right way, instead of understanding everyone has a unique path that may be just as valuable and destined but different. Her energy was so heavy and bitter I had to end the call very early. It was the opposite of uplifting. I prefer people who have walked their path fully and come to their truths with openness from within rather than following something outside themselves in a rigid or attached way and be hug up on it, whatever it is, therefore not fully believing in themselves and life as a whole with ease or gentleness and humility.

    “The era of data collection is over.”
    I feel that. For years, I’ve been listening to Louise Hay, Abraham Hicks, among others, and reading A Course in Miracles and Ernest Holmes and over the past couple months I felt myself saying, “I don’t need this anymore. I know what I’m supposed to do and how I’m supposed to think. Time to put that into action.”
    I am challenged, so I come back for reminders, but for the most part I’m good. Great talk. Thanks for uploading the full video. 🙏🏾

    I genuinely find it interesting that people hang their hats on ONE leader to ‘save’ us... ‘we need marianne as president’.... when in fact what she talks about in this interview is the very opposite of that idea. She says that small groups of people create massive change. She’s right.
    Everyone is still sat around waiting for one person to ‘fix’ everything. No one person should have that amount of control or burden.
    We don’t need a ‘woke’ leader to fix the world, we all need to wake up and be responsible for ourselves. How could one person possibly be held responsible for the behaviour of millions? That’s the fundamental problem.

    • @tallred67
      @tallred67 5 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      I agree. The biggest problem we have right now, IMHO, is the fact that we've abdicated our responsibility to an individual or maybe even a group of individuals. Trump is president because he represents his base very, very well (unfortunately) and they are content to let him run amuck. By the same token, we have a legislative branch, comprised of both parties, neither of which seems willing or able to censure and sanction him for his misbehavior while the rest of us sit back, wait for somebody to do something and then get mad when nothing happens. I recall thinking when I learned that Trump had been elected that it might not be too terrible if he would select wise and qualified people for his cabinet and then actually listen to them. Pipe dreams, but that is what we need. Yes, we have a president, but that person needs to be humble and rely on the wise counsel of others. As long as you have a single person calling the shots, what we have now is what we'll get.

I appreciate that she advocates for a functional spirituality that applies principles rather than escape. • @jessieessex
      @jessieessex 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Franklin Marichal
      True, it is quite the opposite of preserving an image, it is living while in pain from a source of misery which none are immune to. There is no glamour in depression of course, and the showing up is something to be grateful to do for someone else even while you may want to isolate as the course of misery passes through time. Accepting the pain, acknowledging it, while caring for oneself all the while and still maintaining the practice one has as spiritual foundation is not easy. It is easier to wallow, it is easier to find fault in oneself for the presumed idea that pain has a time frame. The “showing up” is a small gesture of community, which creates threads in a fabric and for a time allowing oneself to step outside of the narrowness of pain and beginning to feel a part of a larger thing outside of oneself is an exercise. Personally, when I showed up for someone else during my own suffering I was thankful to them for the experience even though on “appearances” it seemed I did them a favor, it was In fact quite the opposite, they did one for me by allowing me to do for them.

    • @franklinmarichal
      @franklinmarichal 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      jessie SX I think what you are saying is a lot tbh to take in but the basic gist of it is that we all feel pain, we all need to allow ourselves to feel that pain in order to heal it by getting closer to it and not trying to escape from it and etc. Idk about communion and all that it’s all lost on me. I feel no sense of community perhaps because since I was young I’ve felt like I don’t belong. A wound that has showed up in all of my relationships and yet I yearn for it and don’t wish to isolate in order to escape from it.

    • @franklinmarichal
      @franklinmarichal 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      jessie SX When I do for others when I am suffering it’s just me doing for them as a pretense to get from them but the activity of giving is a silent venture when you engage in it from a place of abundance. That being said you seem to know your stuff and your picture makes you look like you got your head in the stars not bad

    I can only speak to my own experience, but traveling around (parts of the world) gave me great patience.
    Being in the third world should and does reunite you with the natural world, and changes your relationship to
    time. I realized this when I was standing in a que at a 7/11 in America, and the five or six people in front of me
    were having fits while the clerk changed his cash drawer.
    They were expressing so much anxiety. None of them said anything, but the fidgeting, the determination to make
    their unhappiness known was sad, and sickening. I was simply stunned. The clerk was very quick! Also every single
    person was reacting. This was before I came to Buddhism. Society has literally produced the slogan, “Think of Self,
    Forget All Else “ ( Chomsky, Manufacturing Consent ). Nobody was thinking about the pressure that they were unnecessarily putting on this 7/11 employee. So it is a sick society. The “stuff” inside Malls never ceased to amaze me, either.
    In any event, every time I walk outside I am simply dazzled by the beauty this Earth. We’re so fortunate to have consciousness to perceive it all!

The sad thing that most people won’t get her message because most people are so very closed minded but the worst thing is that they have no clue how closed minded they are. People need that deep spiritual connect that she talks about but it’s very difficult to get there because before you get their you have to have true compassion and respect for others. You have to get rid of the baggage and you have to open yourself up, which is very hard because most people are very guarded.

      John answered and said, “A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven. You yourselves bear me witness, that I said, ‘I am not the Christ,’ but, ‘I have been sent before Him.’ He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore this joy of mine is fulfilled. 30 He must increase, but I must decrease. He who comes from above is above all; he who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all. And what He has seen and heard, that He testifies; and no one receives His testimony. He who has received His testimony has certified that God is true. For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure. The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand. He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

      The love for Satan/Lucifer is as genuine as the love for enlightenment but the outcomes are very different. Do not confuse the two. Satanic forces are now controlling many politicians, entertainers and other people in high positions. Do not be naive and assume love is always elevating and good. It can come from a very dark place with negative intend. We do not need that. We need efficient and ethical people who are experts at what they do. To fool the masses should not be the goal.

      Oh, so being human is not ethnically neutral.
      You're foolish. There was a long period where race and ethnicity was a non issue in America at least. The words of Dr. King rang clear and children understood, character and not color. Unfortunately it was not very profitable, for those that needed votes and those that chose to be victims of a system they would create. Now America is racists for things that happened 100s of years ago while open slave markets thrive in North and West Africa unhindered or mentioned by those that cant profit or be victims of it.
      A tragedy to be sure, and one history can't possibly gloss over. The future will see this as the most entitled and privileged self described "persecuted" people of all time.

      I wouldn't say it is out there or any of that sort to be spiritually minded and focused for it isn't so. It may appear though that it is for any and every one individual of which have not for any and every reason due to and thanks to our society-driven machinery that of which have been sketched, made up. Has built over a period of several decades now to see 'society' as is. To meet us all here at this hour, approximitily to the designs of the blueprint and the follow-up methodics (the touches) made by, for and as well of this whole established '' Pyramid- Inc. '' est. By that this has reached a clinical-critical point where of the we (the people) A Few, and still growing day by day, some of are all groomed prepared and ready to finally see A'yin to Eye sort of speak. Where amongst one has to be of this certain (proplexialty) specialty to be a contander Of The People For The People to be of aid and REAL assistance to and for the people of which one have got to self be a part. This direction of view though is something all of us are, atleast more of us are moving towards and inwards. Soon to bee boosting, booming ahead forwards. (Time to lit the torches?) I personally liked what the lady had to say and she she answered very much great to satisfaction one must say. Only one/1 problem I personally noticed were where she mentioned Hillary as to where she spoke on votes she was not favoured championed as to where she apparently should've been If to believe the mentioned hype above. Problem is in that case as, and in any case, what about Bernie Sanders which really without any reasonable doubt were cheated for votes....??? At the end Russell talks about how to scale up compassionate awareness as the driving force in the human way of life. He also earlier mentioned the need to overcome the primacy of economics. This is where I think people like him and Marianne Williamson need to consider how the entire societal scheme of life, from interpersonal and group relations to values, political priorities and the general view of a person's role as a citizen, is substantively derived from the nature of the fundamental economic premise. If you want to produce different social values and behaviors you have to provide structural reinforcement for those values and behaviors; and as long as people live in an environment where ubiquitous scarcity dictates all of their relations with the world it makes no sense to just tell them to have more sustainable values. That is not going to happen when people's quality of life is largely dependent on their success in the marketplace. Moreover, at this time, the economic health of a society is outright dependent on maximizing consumption among its population, so an overall culture of minimal consumption is simply not viable in the present economic context.
      Therefore, the key to getting humanity to live in accordance with the requirements of sustainability dictated by nature and the ethical values that Russell and Marianne talk about is to institute a fundamentally different economic premise which is not intrinsically dependent on ubiquitous scarcity, and hence does not structurally precipitate an environment of adversarial interests, economic and social stratification, pervasive necessitation of secrecy, and the conflation of human needs and wants which is integral to stimulating consumption. This alternative economic model would be able to _structurally_ prioritize sustainability, have an egalitarian social structure with actually transparent government, and provide for the basic needs of literally everyone without qualification due to the universal favoring of technically optimized automation at the expense of human labor requirements throughout the edifice of economy; All things which are inherently impossible to achieve within the framework of a market economy. Such a system is technically possible with existing technology. The obstacle to this being realized is the general lack of awareness and the exclusionary, self-maximizing ethos which is naturally generated by the market system and further cultivated by sheer economic propaganda.
      I think the best current proponent of this kind of vision is Peter Joseph of the Zeitgeist Movement. I really wish someone like Russell Brand would start exploring this idea and maybe have Peter on to discuss this very comprehensive view on economics and societal dynamics in detail. The implications of it are immense. You could potentially overcome the "perverse incentives" of businesses destroying the environment and deceiving people while colluding with government, the grotesquely unequal distribution of resources that we are supposed to regard as "normal," the looming threat of catastrophically destructive world war, and even the economic seeding of group-based antagonism which currently fertilizes the soil for all kinds of divisive ideologies to grow, whether they are based on religion, gender, race or nationalism. These are not all isolated problems that exist independently of any deeper circumstances. All these problems have to be addressed at the most basic level, and that is what this idea provides for. If anyone is interested in what Peter Joseph is about, his video "Three Questions" is a good introduction: th-cam.com/video/6xGyKuyGhaE/w-d-xo.html

Its such a simple understanding to treat others as you would want to be treated. And so there's no difference to me between an animal's suffering and a human's suffering. Its equal.
