I legit pogged so hard when I saw the Kraken. I was 100% just expecting it to be just a bigger mire squid. I WAS NOT EVEN SLIGHTLY PREPARED TO SEE HOW BADASS ITS DESIGN WAS!
to be honest, the kraken is one of my fav kaiju design wise. Mixing countless depictions from mythology and still giving us a truly unique design. And that due was a straight up jerk, he more than likely found it funny after slaughtering the village
My theory for why Godzilla didn’t take care of something as malevolent as the Kraken is simply that he didn’t see him as a big enough threat. Godzilla outclassed Kraken in just about every way, so he didn’t need to worry about losing a fight. Not to mention that Kraken was a threat only to Skull Island. If the Kraken was a global threat, that would be a different story. Being a global threat would place the Kraken right up next to King Ghidorah himself, and we all know what happened to *him,* don’t we?
@IceGodzilla619everywhere on earth except Skull Island is Godzilla’s domain he only deals with threats outside of Skull Island while Kong deals with threats in the island or he used to
@@rokmutul8445 Godzilla kills Hollow Earth creatures that get to the surface because they upset the surface's natural order, like when he killed the murderfish and its swarm
Great video analysis!! I think Ghidorah was more of a villain. He awoke titians around the world to challenge the true king.. as far as Kong goes, I agree with y’all that the Kraken is his most malevolent foe he’s faced so far. Tossing the whale was messed up!
Yeah. I'd say the Kraken and Ghidorah are tied in terms of evil intent or dickishness - I'd say that the Kraken is only less evil in that it's only interested in Skull Island instead of being interested in the whole planet, and even that I imagine is probably mostly because the Kraken can't match Godzilla's power level like Ghidorah can.
@@Funnigoer Maybe. But the Kraken does seem intent on Skull Island, since it stuck around there for YEARS after awakening while the stalemate with Kong dragged on (unless it did that because it's just THAT vindictive towards Kong), and I think the Kraken likely knows that it would lose if it ran afoul of Godzilla (who considers the Earth's whole surface outside of Skull Island his territory, leaving the island and the Hollow Earth as the only parts of the planet outside of Godzilla's territorial boundaries where the Kraken can conquer and kill without repercussions from him). Maybe the Kraken intended to dominate Skull Island's other creatures and use them as an army, like Ghidorah did with the other Titans, to bolster the Kraken's own chances of standing up to Godzilla when it started expanding its territory?
Someone else headcanoned on here that the Kraken was hibernating on Skull Island because it ran afoul of a bigger, stronger Titan long ago when the Titans were more active, and it fled to there in exile/hiding.
I kinda wish this kaiju level threat comes back like a species of some sort but I kinda want it to be when it first appeared as a child so the future if it comes back again it may just be giant level proportions
My favorite thing about the Kraken is how at the beginning it isn't clear if the red rentacles and the blue tentacles belong to the same creature or if they are two different creatures cooperating with each other
I understand your theory. But what if, instead the kraken was forced to skull island by something bigger to lay dormant sometime during kongs infancy. Since at that point skull island would need a new alpha. I don't know weather it could be godzilla, or maybe tiamat. Or maybe it's what killed that titan in the kotm novel. Which could have made godzilla mad.
How will the Kraken square up against other sea monsters such as the Bloop, El Gran Maja, and maybe even other aquatic titans such as Titanus Tiamat and Na-Kiki?
Now comes the question are there *TWO Krakens* in the Monsterverse since Na Kika in Godzilla: Dominion was also nicknamed "Kraken"? I'm actually surprised you guys didn't mention them in the video. Also do you guys think you can do a SCP video in the future or at least during Halloween? It would be awesome to see more scary monsters shown in your videos.
*Addendum:* Part of me wonders if the venom of the Kraken besides weakening the victim also served as an additional electrical amplifier. Loved Skull Island and can't wait to see more. Though part of me wonders why Godzilla didn't intervene between the battle between and Kong in this territorial dispute. I am curious what he was up to at this time. Not saying this is a plot-hole, but we know Godzilla was active at this point. He also only really faced Kong in confrontation after Kong was taken off Skull Island. Maybe Godzilla saw Skull Island as the Kong sovereign territory therefore any beef with the Kraken or other Titans was the responsibility of that species? In exchange, he'd leave them alone. A sort of unspoken truce perhaps?
Godzilla didn't care about what happened at Skull Island. In GvK Dr Andrews mentioned the only reason Godzilla hadn't gone after Kong was because of Kong staying on the island. Basically, as long as Kong kept to his little corner of the world, Godzilla had no issue with him.
@@Dragonmaster2009 That's how Godzilla probably saw it. He was already in a bad mood due to the stuff with Apex and sensing a rival alpha in his territory likely pushed him over the edge. To be fair to Kong, he clearly had no intention of taking Godzilla's throne since he wasn't off the island by choice.
I think Godzilla just decided that the Kraken wasn’t his problem. It’s also possible that Kraken knew of Godzilla, and decided to not do anything to enrage the King of the Monsters. And since this was an issue that was localized to Skull Island, literally the most isolated place on Earth, Godzilla probably decided to ignore it.
I loved the Kaiju a lot, I never imagined what the kraken would be like in the monsterverse I also want them to talk about Shimu that this would be the other villain of Godzilla x Kong the new empire this kaiju is not just any kaiju if not this is the first kaiju that emerged on earth. I hope you read my comment
Well kind of, if it's a titan like Godzilla or Ghidorah the Kraken will probably back down. Just from how this creature acted it reminded me of a bully and when a bully is up against something bigger than themselves they almost always back down.
@@WOF1 Kraken performs well as an excellent rival for Kong. I wish they kept it around longer as a buildup monster character until the end of season 2.
No offense, but I think you might be over exaggerating the kraken a bit. The kraken couldn't even beat a kong who wasn't even a fully grown adult like in gvk. A younger, smaller, and weaker Kong completely demolished kraken, so imagine what 2021 kong would do to it.
@@onyxhunt5525 Exaggerating he is not. The Kraken was beating, destroying and making a punching bag of Kong, not to mention almost drowning him, creating several serious and deep wounds in the body of the gorilla, with its electric tentacles and huge sharp beak. Kong only won by the power of the script, and by the help of the humans with the boat sunk by the Kraken itself, and that's the only way he managed to free himself if he didn't have any weapons there Kong would be more than dead, it would turn into lunch, you can see that he was almost there finished losing its energies and strength. And when he freed himself, he managed to take the Kraken by surprise and put in a series of brutal punches, and the Kraken still resisted as he hurt Kong's eye and smeared blood on his face. However, as the Kraken was already weakened, he took the opportunity to break it in half. He was shown to be a psychological psychopath who killed everything that moved everything for fun and evil, killed an entire civilization, including Kong's friend, broke a boat in half with no difficulty, destroyed helicopters, and threw whales across a vast skull island just to tease Kong. It was one of the most hated titans by Kong.
Can we appreciate how a 190ft Kong RIPPED the Kraken in half?! Imagine what a 337ft Kong would have done to that thing. Could have possibly just dragged it's ass onto draw land.

Ghidorah 1.Came from outer space to rull surface world 2.Pure evil 3.Humiliates Godzilla Kraken 1.Came from water to rull skull island 2.pure evil 3.Humiliates kong
Agreed. Fascinating chimeric design, terrifying personality, immense power level. And I loved how its relationship with Kong contrasted Kong's hot-blooded relationship with the Skullcrawlers - it was disconcerting (in a good way) and *heartbreaking* to see how it killing the island girl broke Kong for years.
Me too. I really hope they don't just end the story there and then use an offhand mention of Annie and Irene's post-story fates to wrap it up like they did with Dr. Brooks' stranded son Aaron in the MV graphic novels.
If Godzilla ever saw the Kraken toss a innocent whale or any other innocent creature, my boy Godzilla wouldn’t have let that slide. Big G would’ve pulled on Kraken.
"Compared to him even Ghidorah seems like an angel" - I wouldn't go THAT far. They're both horrifyingly intelligent, vicious and sadistic bastards, but the Kraken at least was only interested in conquering Skull Island, compared to how Ghidorah actively tried to kill off the whole planet.
The show and the creature weren't that violent or scary tome, but after this video, I started to get more scared with the Kraken, and I think there might be more of those, especially in the holowearth.
You know what I was recently thinking? How cool would it be if MV could attain the rights to Bagan and we can finally have him on screen, as the biggest bad final boss of the entire MV? Possibly being the foe that finally takes Godzilla out, though only via Godzilla sacrificing himself to take out Bagan after he and all of his Titan friends (including Kong) put up an extreme fight. Then in a mid credits scene, Kong is seen having just buried G, putting the axe into the ground as something of a headstone, and solemnly walking away, before the screen goes black...and we hear a single thump of a heartbeat - credits finish.
@RobinMlangeni Planned super kaiju enemy of Godzilla that never made it to films, kept getting cancelled or replaced - but was the final boss of Super Godzilla on the SNES. Worth looking up.
@@Oinker-Sploinker I could not disagree more. There would be absolutely no point to have had Godzilla appear the way he has in Monsterverse and not have iconic Toho monsters to fight. I don't even understand that perspective - having Rodan and Ghidorah appear on the big screen looking better than they ever have has been the highlight of the franchise so far for most fans. As well as Mecha. Compare their hype to the MUTOs, it's not even close, and the MUTOs had the benefit of the hype of it being the first movie. No. I want more TOHO monsters in the verse, and Bagan technically has yet to appear even in TOHO stuff anyway, outside of a puppet show and an SNES game.
I feel like the Kraken would never willingly go after Godzilla. Godzilla might go after the Kraken if he gets a craving for calamari. In any case, a confrontation between the 2 would go poorly for the Kraken.
Exactly what @stevebeshel9418 saids also if this kraken were to go up against gidorah well not much explanation to do other then start carving the gave of the kraken 😂
Video idea. You should do the alpha dragons from HTTYD if they were on skull Island except for toothless you already did that mainly the bewilderbeast and the red death
Before anyone suggests GC make updated videos of if Toothless, Night Feeder, and Arks Giga could survive on Skull Island. Toothless would be fast enough and small enough to avoid being grabbed, and his plasma blasts would be able to fend off the beast, but he wouldn't be able to kill it. The Night Feeder could easily slice his tentacles away, but if he gets nicked by the red ones, the electric shocks would light him up, and he'd die quickly. Arks Giga would blindly charge at the Kraken, and it'd just be dragged under and be drowned. Last note, Toothless and the Night Feeder would learn of its existence and would actively avoid being in its grab/attack range.
It’s about time So I hope monster verse Producers are reading this either use the classics and work something out to where you can utilize them in the story or think of some newer, more bad ass enemies for our iconic monsters to fight Or have two monsters fused together, and become a new monster
Video suggestion: 10 ways to die in Jurassic World ep 5 1. Bipedal crocodile by Baryonyx (adult and juvenile) 2. Limb to limb by Allosaurus (adult and juvenile) 3. Night killers by Troodon 4. Asian cousin by Tarbosaurus 5. Cute but dangerous by Beta 6. Scarlet death by Herrerasaurus 7. Bull horned by Nasutoceratops 8. Cute bite by juvenile Carnotaurus 9. Rat torture by Moros Intrepidos 10. Bleed to death by Lystrosaurus Bonus: Killer prince by T rex infant Test subject: Rainn Delacourt
Maybe instead of herrerasaurus and troodon, iguanodon and dreadnoughtus would be better as these are animals have at least on screen appearence. Oviraptor and monolophosaurus would also be a better choices than beta and baby carno as these do the same as their adult version

@@cipherisntverifiedgiga negs that over sized rex💀😊
@@cipherisntverified I believe a future video of ark giga going to pj skull island is in the works. So we'll see how v-rex does then. They should have the giga be its smaller size from the first jw video just to keep things somewhat fair because at full size he'd one shot everything on the island.
The Skull Island series was pretty damn good. I would love to see more Goji Center vids about some of the things we see in that show like Dog and the Pheonix like bird that worked with Kong.
Man,never knew a big octopus could be so rude and have such power, but still, nice video!
I legit pogged so hard when I saw the Kraken.
I was 100% just expecting it to be just a bigger mire squid. I WAS NOT EVEN SLIGHTLY PREPARED TO SEE HOW BADASS ITS DESIGN WAS!
My literal only disappointment was that we won't get to see more of it.
And if anything that's probably a good thing lol.
@@skeepodoop5197 what if that's a juvenile and there's still more
It’s probably my favorite monsterverse kajiu at this point
probably the best designed monsterverse kaiju alongside the skull crawlers
to be honest, the kraken is one of my fav kaiju design wise. Mixing countless depictions from mythology and still giving us a truly unique design. And that due was a straight up jerk, he more than likely found it funny after slaughtering the village
Finally I knew you were going to cover this freak of nature
I love the Kraken’s design it is also one of my favorite villains in the monster verse
That dumb godzilla killed margyger because she was killing whales and shes much smaller than the kraken

“Come at me, bro.”
"Nah ill pass"
@@ecthox-1mork909it probably would of went after other places and titans if it was able to finish Kong off while trying to drown him
@@Funnigoer Maybe.
@@ecthox-1mork909 your probably right
Kong was also getting poisoned while the Kraken was electrocuting him, Kong's a tough bastard.
I wonder if the G-Man ran into this thing at one point...
he would just straight turn this thing into cooked squid for dinner
probably other members of its kind
Someone else headcanoned on here that the Kraken was hibernating on Skull Island because it ran afoul of a bigger, stronger Titan long ago when the Titans were more active, and it fled to there in exile/hiding.
I kinda wish this kaiju level threat comes back like a species of some sort but I kinda want it to be when it first appeared as a child so the future if it comes back again it may just be giant level proportions
My favorite thing about the Kraken is how at the beginning it isn't clear if the red rentacles and the blue tentacles belong to the same creature or if they are two different creatures cooperating with each other
The Kraken has Megaguirus's arms and claws.
I want a video of the Kraken (MV) VS the Kraken (Scandinavian Folklore)
Lets see whose better at sinking ‘em ships >:)
hey goji center can you make a series about the xenomorphs from aliens it would be really cool
Yeah I was thinking about that
I understand your theory.
Despite the fact that the Kraken is a total jerk, it is a cool looking Kaiju with cool (and deadly) features.
How will the Kraken square up against other sea monsters such as the Bloop, El Gran Maja, and maybe even other aquatic titans such as Titanus Tiamat and Na-Kiki?
Na-kika
Now comes the question are there *TWO Krakens* in the Monsterverse since Na Kika in Godzilla: Dominion was also nicknamed "Kraken"? I'm actually surprised you guys didn't mention them in the video.
Also do you guys think you can do a SCP video in the future or at least during Halloween? It would be awesome to see more scary monsters shown in your videos.
I think they both krakens that come from different speices
Yeah a top 10 ways to die in the SCP universe would be crazy. Would make any top ten ways to die video they have ever done seem lame in comparison
I'm pretty sure the kraken for na kika was a place holder name.
@@steve94183so technically Kong started the fight and Godzilla let him live twice he must’ve liked Kong
When you think about it Godzilla is pretty nice
These clips look fire I’m bouta watch this series straight away thanks to this gorgeous video from goji center as always
I loved the Kaiju a lot, I never imagined what the kraken would be like in the monsterverse
I also want them to talk about Shimu that this would be the other villain of Godzilla x Kong the new empire this kaiju is not just any kaiju if not this is the first kaiju that emerged on earth. I hope you read my comment
When the Kraken killed Kong's human friend is enough to think this titan is the main villain in the series.
When I saw the whale flying through the air, that caught me by surprise. This Kraken could definitely pose a challenge to any alpha titan.
@@sphere7158 Yeah I know that but it looks like the Kraken need to use his tentacles to range Kong before attacking.
I really hope we get to see the kraken in the arena especially against other waterborne kaiju such as Tiamat, Leviathan, or Na-Kika

I googled it and there mite actually be a season 2.
If Godzilla ever saw the Kraken toss a innocent whale or any other innocent creature, my boy Godzilla wouldn’t have let that slide. Big G would’ve pulled on Kraken.
The Kraken is an absolutely sadistic menace to society!!

Worth looking up.
nah they should make an original enemy for the monsterverse finale keep toho kaiju for godzilla and mothra to defeat
@@Oinker-Sploinker
I could not disagree more.
I’d like to see a battle between The Kraken vs Godzilla
What about Kong's pet Red hawk giant monster?
I wonder how it would go in a battle between the kraken and the king of the monsters
I feel like the Kraken would never willingly go after Godzilla. Godzilla might go after the Kraken if he gets a craving for calamari. In any case, a confrontation between the 2 would go poorly for the Kraken.

NEW Titan so power full. I love this one so much!
This titan managed to hold on it’s own against Kong
I’m betting a season 2 of skull island is happening
So speaking of skull island, you guys should totally do V-Rex vs young skull Crawler. Or several V-rex’s. You know, Kong villian vs Kong villian
