Been listening to Stone all weekend and I really dig it, they’ve finally captured their live sound. Also that solo on “Last Words” is a goddamn face melter

most of us are probably fans of the low, slow and sludgy but I really appreciate how they thought beyond that and came up with such catchy vocals for the experience. Love this band so much .riding since red n blve. had the pleasure of meeting Gina and John in St. Louis a few years ago and I fan-boy,d out so hard…🥴

Saw them in Denver last week. Fucking crushed it. What a great band and a great bunch of people. I wish them all the success in the world. New album destroys!

I'm a pretty new fan to Baroness.. they've popped up from time to time on my feed but I never really paid much attention to them until recently.
I kept thinking John looked really familiar but dismissed it as me just seeing him in various interviews and performances.
Turns out, he was a barista at Sentient Bean coffee shop in Savannah GA while I was in college there. The instant I learned that, it immediately clicked.
Small world stuff. Their new album is rad!

The way they hold the notes in the singing reminds me of The Roches

Baroness playing Fresco would've been rad. More Bands + Board Games please.

Gina is the best thing to happen to Baroness. They were fantastic before. Now they are out of this world.

i really want to hear them discuss the mixing/mastering on Stone versus the past few albums (a style that i personally find unlistenable).

@@chrisparker5278I guess he meant Gold and Grey. It was hard to listen to, not due to the music but production 🙄

As always I think it’s really subjective, it’s art after all.. I know Purple gets bagged on a lot for how raw and compressed it is but I loved it from first listen. Some truly great tracks on there too
