When buying gold bars you are paying for the gold value per weight. Shape or packaging will not effect the value of gold. At the end of the day you are holding 31.1 grams of gold.
If only everyone believed that. I've been to some retailers who will pay less if it's not in it's original packaging. Its not so much the retailer it's more the public that wants them in the packaging hence why retailers will pay more it's a cycle.
@@richardsanchez5444 I think also that many people who insist on keeping the bar in original packaging plan on reselling it privately to avoid taxes. If you want to sell privately, you definitely want to keep the car in sealed packaging.

in Canada you can buy opened bars for less as they are harder to sell, so i would assume dealers are going to offer less. gold maples in the sealed mint plastic sell more than loose coins.
Wouldn't your LCS have opened bars for you to touch, so that your curiosity can be satisfied without having to devalue an unopened package by even a little?
Um. You can open the capsule from the front without destroying the assay card. Just an FYI. And, YES, you’ll get MORE money if you sell it intact in the assay card.

Actually you will pay for the PAMP Certification , and it will be around 80 SR extra. Note that when you sell the gold you will only be paid for the value of the gold ONLY. However Saudi gold is premium and safe when bought from Official Gold stores. You don’t need to buy PAMP gold instead ask for unpacked gold and ALWAYS request a receipt.

If I was trying to sell you one gold bar out of the packaging with my fingerprints and scratches for $2,000, or one in the packaging like new for $2,020 which would you buy?
