  • This 2022 trip to Boracay was quite nostalgic for me. We were frequent Boracay visitors some 30 years ago and it’s interesting to see the changes and development of the island, from a remote and unspoiled island to the now commercialized beach destination. Is Boracay still worth it?
Join me as I re-visit the island and experience the tour as if you are traveling with me.

Thank you for the video. My wife and I are here in Boracay staying for 14 nights in the more quiet station 3 area which has practically remained the same since the 1990s. The beach and water are still the best and obviously the infrastructure has improved. However because of the concentration of businesses in station 2, that area is now really really crowded with people, tourists, hawkers etc. Unfortunately theres no way to avoid them since the better restaurants and shops are all there. Would we return? Perhaps yes but not for our next island holiday, perhaps in October/November where there are less tourists and the weather is not as hot. Time to check out other Philippine islands not as developed. Btw, we are also from the Bay Area.
