Hi there, There is no need to create a separate PNG file, because in InDesign you can turn layers of the TIFF or PSD file on and off. This is done via the menu Object > Object Layer Options... So you can use the same file.
when i'm trying to do it the back of the circle is also painted, so when i warp it, the circle won't look like it's being peeled off. how do I only paint the front of the circle?

Select both layers, right click and merge layers!
