Im surprised I haven't seen more coverage on the 2023 model of this lasptop. 144hz display 3050 6gb and 13th gen I5 scored for $500 on black friday. Runs everything I throw at it on high-ultra 80fps+.

I have the 2023 15.6" model in Canada it's selling at a very expensive price of $1299 and you have to upgrade the RAM from the low 8GB stick it had I put 32GB and I upgraded the SSD to the Samsung 990 Pro 1TB. It's a nice laptop too bad there's very few reviews on the 2023 model.

@@fluffypotato7475 been playing mostly Doom Eternal high/ultra 120 fps+. Halo Infinite High 80 fps+, Fortnite high/ultra 100 fps+. Even Baldurs Gate 3 runs 60+ on high with dlss

Bought this exact laptop in 2021 and still runs great. Pretty much did the same thing as the original owner of the laptop and added a 1 TB NVME. I think the new Victus 15 w/ the 2050 does not have an extra NVME slot. Only the 16 version has it.
Paid 599 for a brand new dell g15 3350 3050 with 8gb ddr5 ram and I purchased separate ram so it's still pretty cheap even has a 120hz display
after seeing so many videos on this channel, i realized that i overpaid by alot for my laptop, even though laptops where im from are usually 100+ dollars more than the starting price online, and with the same amount of money, i could've gotten better specs. This will help me in the future, to get the best deals. Thank you so much toasty bros!

Look I’ve had this exact hp Victus for about 2 years at this point and have been able to play any and every game i want and newer games like Alan wake Baldur s gate and other title like re4 and village on her NO problem. Im not bit on graphics as long as it looks decent and runs at 60 fps I’m good. I run all my games at med to low settings and some on high to ultra like dmc5 baldurs gate and a few others and have no issues. If you are new to pc gaming do yourself a favor and get this laptop👍🏾👏🏾
They still sell Victus laptops with 2050 for over $700 on places like newegg, so this one is practically a steal .

Just got an Asus tuf F15 laptop for Christmas, i7 16 ram and 4050 and I’m able to play cod, gta 5, fortnite and other on max graphics and get high frames with ez
I got this same laptop just with a gtx 1650 and 32gb ram 12th gen cpu, I know I'm have to upgrade in the future but this laptop is amazing I play Fortnite and GTA at 144hz

I'm definitely happy with my recent purchase for a friend then.
Her laptop broke, and she needed one the same day for her work since she would be travelling the next day.
I went to a used hardware shop (CeX, a UK store), bought an HP Victus for £380 (~$400):
- Ryzen 5800H (seems to be better than the 11th gen Intels)
- RX 6500M (equivalent to a RTX 3050, would have preferred the Nvidia, but should do well enough for her)
- 144Hz display
Wasn't even looking for a gaming laptop at the time (an iGPU would have been enough), but none of the laptops at the store looked good value, and she liked the bigger screen, so choice made :)

Finally a real budget laptop
I have the 2023 model of this laptop it comes with an i5 Gen 13, and RTX 3050 6GB. I upgraded from 8gb to 16gb ram. It does 144hz. The only down side is it doesn't have the 2nd storage capacity. So Im not going to upgrade it from 500gb SSD.
Other than that it runs like a dream for $550 since I got it new from Best Buy on Black Friday.

1st thing you do with laptops blow the bejesus out the fans & clean Then turn off *Power Saving* so if your Battery chits itself it'll boot by powercable
how many wont boot because dead batterys its only 1-2 that die in 8 battery box

When playing or checking Fortnite try lower the 3d resolution to get a more accurate view of the fps, try between 40 and 70.

The sweet spot for gaming laptop to run everything on ultra-high settings is $800 only time to get these RTX 4050-4060 laptop is just wait for holiday sales normally they go for 1k-1.5k+. I sadly bought MSI Cyborg 15 RTX 4050 for $800 and months later the 4060 version goes for the same price 🤦♂️ just wait for holiday sales unless you can’t wait. With the 4060 version you gained on average 10-15 FPS depending on the game.

I have a similar machine from ASUS, but with the 3050Ti, same CPU, 16gb ram
I like it alot, but Nvidia really gimped the 3050/Ti with 4GB VRAM, then trolled people by making a 6GB version last year
But for the price, that's good value although the 60hz screen is very bad imho, unless hooking it up a external monitor
