7:34 RGB Lights are LEDs
I have a question @Craftletics. I'm about to create this for my son's room and the heater vent is on the top of the wall. I wanted to do the entire ceiling as a cloud ceiling, but I was afraid of the heater in the winter setting the polyform on fire. Would the heat resistant spray protect the polyform as well as the posterboard? And with the posterboard, would you put the shiny side up facing the ceiling so the RGB strips and the polyform would stick better to the non shiny side? Or is the shiny side stickier to the polyform???
@ObsidianButterfly11 Honestly I wouldn't place it anywhere near the heat vent even with the spray just as a precaution. I would place the poster board shiny side up because the rgb lights stick well to the non-shiny side.
Yeah and something else i know is a good idea, do a cloud strip, we ve only ever seen ceilings and whole walls being covered but it's a good design to do a strip, better in my opinion even. You lay the leds on the corners of the room as normal, then cover the strip with the "cloud". Then you ll have a line of the cloud on the edges of the wall
@ObsidianButterfly11
Doing my cloud ceiling today. Thanks so much for the advice. Taking back the spray adhesive using got glue and buying this fireguard spray. 'ppreciate you bro
Don’t do it bruh u goin have hella spiders
@@davebob9796 what kinda nasty house you have that is full of spiders? Clean your house.
@@Stretchystrong just depends on where you live man, spiders aren’t really going after trash, could get in the house due to bad insulation on the windows, doors, guarantee that he was scratching his skin when he was writing his comment ab spider

Update on my cloud ceiling lmao, I took my shit down, I hated it😂😂
Ty so much! I was thinking of making a cloud ceiling but I had second thoughts in what might happen, but I’m so glad I came across this vid ❤
Thanks. I was just looking to make my girls a cloud lamp, I didn't even know cloud ceiling was a thing. It looks pretty awesome.
Very helpful I am renting so the command strips are very helpful.
I wonder how strong they are though.
As far as glue I would use modpodge ❤️
i can't get over that it took him over 2 minutes to actually get to the subject
🤣
Right? Ugh.
Great video, I loved the self promo don't be anxious about it its really dope after looking at it. Just put it out there and someone will buy it. Thanks for the tips on cloud ceilings. Respect the grind, many blessings and returns for 2024! #CRAFTLIFE
What lights did you use and what could you do better.
Hi
Thank you sm for this video ; I’m looking to begin this project and your video has the perfect alternatives/ suggestions !!
Also on side note could I make a video on how you got to publishing your sponsored kid book plz, so dope to have done that 🙌
Thank You very informative broken down well
Gaffer tape is stronger than duct tape. It’s used for film sets and photography setup’s.
Thank you very much 🎉
It took him so long to comment on his own video 😭😅 may 2024 DemowingShorts was here
Can you post the link to the updated one?
What about dust accumulation?
How to avoid that?
If I had to guess, I recommend getting a can of compressed air to remove the collection. Not remove the dust, but remove the collection on the clouds
What kind of command straps should I buy? Because the ones u showed... I don't understand how I would use them? The velcro strips.. attack to the RGB lights I assume, but what about the pollyfill? I want to make one for my son's room.
Attach everything to poster bord attach comand straps to back and press to ceiling
Damb bro that looks lit I would defintely have the money and resources to do it but I dont think my old man would approve🤣
I’m sure if you show him it’s safe and reassure him it’s safe and you’re responsible and that it’s a good thing you’re doing DIY projects he might come around. Idk yo dad tho lol
what type of sheet should i use on the ceiling? need responses sorta quick because im starting soon.
You should posterboard👋
What Is fireguard spray? Forgive my ignorance
does double tape work?
Hey,
Why command strips?
Because you can peel them off the ceiling when leaving?
Forgetting price, which is the best option for long lasting and would there be much difference?
Thankbs
Yes that's the reason for the command strips . For long lasting duct tape works perfectly fine
@jazzandmarty thanks.
Perfectly fine or better for long term?
I did my sons ceiling and used duct tape on the back of poster boards. The whole thung lasted about two weeks. The weight of the glue and polyfil put a constant pull and i had to start putting thumb tacks in to try to keep it up. One night the whole ceiling came down on hum while he was sleeping. Looking for something stronger this time around. I bought command strips and they dont seem to want to stick to the ceiling too well. A lot of money wasted and back to the drawing board
@@stickyicky1049 staple gun it is
When he said suscribe, I suscribes.
Ill give a like thanks for the advice
I used gorilla double sided tape and it’s been great! I also used the adhesive spray and no issues. However I’m curious to if this cloud ceiling is keeping my child room from cooling down her ac vent is in the middle of it and it is NOT covered. I wonder if it’s causing the air to get trapped in the fluff.
That’s not how cold air works.
Hi,so the only question I have is about the spiders.People said that there will be spiders in your “clouds” can you explain me what you did for that?
Spiders hate the smell of Peppermint
Tea tree as well!
soo.. long story short is it good or bad option to do cloud celling (what should i do with my room anyway)?>>
How do you clean it tho
How do you clean them to avoid dust accumulation
Remake it every once in a while if you’re worried
What about a can of that electronic spray to blow out the dust????
So guessing you didn't pull off the new one 😅
I put command strips on the back of 1in round magnets and hot glued magnets to the back of the Coroplast boards. I used 30/m sk6812 led strip, making each panel into a matrix all of the panels linked to make 1 large led matrix driven by a single esp32 running wled with a microphone and some custom effects and custom software on my PC. My cloud room has a 12x14ft ceiling. I have a 6in gap around the edge of the clouds, making the clouds matrix 11x13ft 118 x 60 led matrix total of 7,060 leds which are limited to 70% brightness driven with 3x 60A 5v power supplies and it's not enough for full output power it needs 250A at 5v and I'd need to run a dedicated circuit for that
Damn bro
Damn im tryna see that
Do you think i can use silicone caulk?
I can't believe so many people need a video to do such an easy task
Wdym
Shush.
There's instructions on shampoo bottles.
Do you mean you can't believe people are willing to learn from others' mistakes? Life must be hard for you.
@@wifeofsauron1658 lol... life is too easy for me
I thought that all *RGB(Red, Green, Blue)* lights use *LED(Light Emitting Diode)* lights to make colorful light strips. 7:32
Yes, not all LEDs are in RGB configuration(some of them are pure white or warm white) but definitely all RGB LED lights are LEDs.
Do you remember what exact lights you used?
Yes here are the ones I used Govee LED Strip Lights RGBIC, 16.4ft Bluetooth Color Changing LED Lights with Segmented App Control, Smart LED Strip Color Picking, Music Sync LED Lights for Bedroom, Living Room, Party a.co/d/ar3Mv7C
hello, is there any problem with spiders and other insects?
Not really but it depends on where you live if you are worried about that I sprayed some raid around the cotton and it keeps the bugs out but it is flammable I think so be careful where you place it
I’m buying the fire proof ones I’m not making it myself I’m buying the set
Yo is there gonna be any spiders on the cloud ceiling
also bugs me when people say to sub,
like i might after i see if your videos good, so luike come on with it,
but after getting throuhg it all, good tipsthanks
Great video quick question what if you have drop ceiling panels on your ceiling would this still work ?
I don't see why not! If your renting or care about the panels I would take care not to ruin them but Unfortunately my Whole house is dropped..we bought it this way. Soon enough I'll yank em out But...until then my babies gonna have the clouds they asked for! I mean you Could use magnets to hold the clouds up if you buy it by the roll and fluff it out Some. Personally I'm gonna hot glue my lights and probably use a combo of magnets n hot glue. It will pop off the mounting tracks easily.
How do you clean it lol
Will led Xmas lights work for cloud?
Unfortunately no the spacing on the Christmas lights wouldn't give it that lightning effect.
did he say to use rgb lights instead of led lights? use red green blue lights instead of light emiting diode lights? all lightstripes are led's
2:23 he actually gets to the topic of video
Do you mean RGBIC lights instead of regular LEDs they are the programmable LEDs? Because just saying RGB is just saying red green blue. RGBIC is the ones where you can program each light
Use a stapler. It works better
Are you from Maryland?
He sounds like he's from Baltimore I get picked on for saying dew and tew and mova and fava 🤷🏾♀️ can't help it
@@shanaerichardson5966 that's why I asked the question.
If you are concerned about fire, get 5 VOLT led lights such as WS2812B, not 12V
is it safe if i use rgb?
@@asyraffmazlin2499 To determine the voltage of your LEDs, look at its power supply. If it is USB, then it is 5 volts. If it uses a barrel jack, then it itmost likely 12 volts. Look at the output rating on the power supply. It will list the voltage.
It's not just the heat or voltage of the lights. Any spark from faulty electricals , or a cigarette for example, would make the room turn into a fireball in seconds without any fireproofing of the material.
You talk to much just get to the point

I just started and already had problems with the spray adhesive and half of my poly-fil was on the floor after about 4 days
Try the gorilla glue spray adhesive, I've used it recently and it works pretty well
I was using scotch super 77 and it was falling off. I tried using the hot glue gun and it was working but after 1 hour it was starting to fall off.
There are problems with spiders?
Nope no spiders
Not trying to be rude though, but the command strips they rip off so my popcorn walls so duct tape is better for popcorn walls because duct tape sticks to it but it won’t be too bad so you can’t tell that’s just my opinion that’s why I’m using it I’m using duct tape that’s for my own opinion
You saved me a lot of bullshit bro thank you
Voice reminds me of CoryxKenshin
So much talk before getting to the point. Please note that fire reatrdend spray for flat surfaces has a total different effect when sprayed on things like lose fabric. Also the heat of the leds in normal operation is not the issue. A fire hazard is always in a not normal situation. Like almost disconnection electrical connections. If the connection gets too thin the electricity flow can heat up the faulty connection.I love cloud ceilings but the fire danger of something above my head in a small room seems still highly risky.

What do you mean use RGB instead of LED? RGB lights -are- LED....
literally just skip to 8:00 video starts at 8:00 lmfao
The thumb nail was mad dramatic though
RGB LIGHTS ARE LED LIGHTS
I think you will have alot of spiders maybe???
no spiders, if anything you can spray any citrus scents such as oranges or lemons to keep them away
No spiders at all
Just start at 2:22
