hey Kelly, that shade in Modern Renaissance is called Tempera (a type of paint used a lot in the Renaissance!) and the stress is on the first syllable. I always get really hungry when people call it tempura though lol

I'm so excited you decided to try the mini-natasha denonas. I am obsessed with her formula, and I love the minis as an option. It's rare than anything bigger than a 9 pan excites me (ND sunrise, exception). Also, and I don't know why, but I feel like Persona and ND shadows pair really well together. Also if you ever want a treat and have $12, I feel like the mini Lila is crazy underrated. It's one of the few blues I can wear as a blue eyed girl, the matte plum is incredible, and the neutrals are perfect tones for me. But I have to fight the urge not to "collect" them. I've given myself the requirement to hit pan on the three I have before I can get another. Because it's still $5 a shadow.
The Natasha denona mini glam looks perfect. It’s honestly the 5 colours I ever use lmao. Might grab them when I finish those shades in my current neutral palette

same! i actually got modern renaissance as a christmas gift in 2018, i owned soft glam & norvina before i owned that one, so i think if my current eyeshadow collection was split in half by date, i think it's in the newer half still. though i still have my original ud naked palette for sentimental reasons, so that's definitely my oldest by all standards.

I’ve been seeing this go around Makeup Instagram for a couple weeks now, but haven’t caught it on TikTok. Naked Honey is my most expensive palette too- but it’s half off on UD’d website right now! I just decluttered MR due to age but I got it shortly after release and had pan in 6 shades.
The naked honey is my priciest palette too. I love it and wish it got more love on TH-cam, but I guess because it has so many browns it’s probably not as exciting to film compared to the multi-coloured palettes that always seem to get featured on YT

It’s STUNNINGLY beautiful, awesome quality, and fool-proof to use!! It’s great but it can look a little bit the same as far as TH-cam videos are concerned. I tend to focus on affordable beauty on my channel but I do highly recommend this for people who want to splurge 😃🙌🏻💖

i might have felt a little bit of guilty pleasure when you said that the palette not worth the hype was the urban decay born to run, because i remember when that palette came out, it was in everyone's monthly favorites, then yearly favorites, it had so many tutorials, and for the next two sephora sale recommendations, i felt like everyone was saying 'born to run, for sure'. every time i looked at the palette, for me, it's like the tones of each color... is just not quite right, it didn't appeal to me at all. none of the shades looked unique, i felt like i had them, but with a better tone, in all my other palettes. the only good i could see was that it was a great starter palette for people newly introduced to doing their makeup, because it had good variation while being 'neutral' and not overly bright, etc.

I have the Natasha Denona Mini Retro palette and I was surprised by the quality of the packaging as well. I have the Elf mini palettes and thought that would be the quality of the ND. I really have my eye on the Sigma Enchanted palette. If I buy it, it will be my most expensive palette. I don't own the Tati palette, but I think it is so overhyped. After seeing it featured once in a video, I was over it. But, it seemed that every TH-camr had it and had to use it in a video. Their praise of it didn't seem very sincere to me. If I see that the palette is being featured in a video, I don't watch the video. So over it!

After seeing it featured once in a video, I was over it. But, it seemed that every TH-camr had it and had to use it in a video. Their praise of it didn't seem very sincere to me. If I see that the palette is being featured in a video, I don't watch the video. So over it!
