Hi there, thanks for this vlog. Just out of curiosity, do people generally speak Norwegian and Sámi or is English also accepted? Regarding your English book reading for eng language practice, I remember a couple of years ago, I tried interviewing with some IT companies in Norway(Oslo region), but I was disqualified due to the local language requirement(not mandate though). Did you also learn the local language before moving to Norway for study/work purposes? Could you provide more details on this topic? Use AI tools to reduce the working burden.
Almost no one speaks Sami except for actually sami people (sadly). But almost everyone speaks english to a high degree. Most of my friends are as fluent in english as they are in norwegian.
@@MothsAreTheBest Thanks for the expression. I guess they prefer Norwegian first 😏. Most likely, they prefer individuals with advanced degrees (Masters/PhD, etc.) for futuristic fields such as Quantum technology, supercomputing, or 6G/like this. It's my assumption. I saw people like those degrees on certain fields accepted by companies.
Hi! Thank you so much again for watching my video! 😊❤️ People generally speak Norwegian here, but almost everyone understands English, so there is no problem speaking English here. However, most jobs are required to speak Norwegian. I didn’t learn Norwegian before I came to Norway. I came to Norway for studying, and the study program was in English. I learnt Norwegian when I started working, but I am still not very fluent in Norwegian now. Yes, I use quite a lot of AI tools to help my work 😊❤️
