My electrics stopped working the other day when I was returning from caravaning, had to take my car to tow bar specialist, found that my earths wires were faulty and broken, so all sorted now but I'm definitely going to get one of these testers to make sure all is working from now.

"Now it's working, now it's not, now it's working, now it's not." My wife when checking to see if the indicators are working ok.

The Maypole tester did you a favour by not working as you now have a longer cable, much more comfortable to handle. Take care. Rob

Hi Rob, yes lot easier to sit in the drivers seat with the tester in front of you, This one also has a test button that you can confirm all LED's are working. Thanks for commenting

Did you find out what the problem was.

Yep the tester was actualy faulty. One of the LED's was not working. Nothing wrong with the car. The unit I bought to replace it had a test button to light up and test all LED's are working. Thanks for commenting 🙂

Will it test the towed vehicle ?

Hi no it just tests the towing vehicle. However of you have a problem and you test the towing vehicle. And it checks out ok. Then you know the problem is in the towed vehicle. Hope that helps. James

@@CaravanEscapades101 Ok thanks james. That makes sense. I did have the electrics done by a pro on the vans and the diy wiring on the boat and trailer are faulty. I think I know the answer but good to be sure. James
