Not gonna lie , this car design is amazing , but the sounds can't beat the Maserati granturismo.
of course not, no modern car will sound like a v8 that came out 12 years ago because of restrictions.

The design is actually very Nordic. Clean, minimalistic and functional. A good basis for future hard core versions.

The 720s looks Nordic, and maybe even better than the F8, at least from the front.

Yeah headers won't work on a turbocharged engine. It probably has headifolds anyway... but DPs and a catback will do wonders

@@saidalas8381 they will that’s the plan by 2023 Ferrari will no longer supply Maserati and the nettuno will come in the levante and quatroportte the ghibli will be discontinued
I waited so long for this, finally it's here. Such a great supercar, looks the part. The engine is magnificent, but I reckon the gearbox is a bit to tall, brilliant for top speed. Can't wait to see the new moods by Novitec.
I reckon it's to deal with the monster torque curve. The F02 M3/4 had gears that were perfect for an N/A car, but terrible for a turbo car, and it infamously suffered from horrendous snap oversteer when the turbos kicked in. The MC20 looks a lot more tractable and precise than some of the other manic turbo supercars (cough, cough, McLaren).

Now THAT is a good looking supercar! I find a lot of the sports cars/supercars today are just getting too overly complicated with their lines and styling. This is gorgeous. Looks modern, but still related to the MC12.

Small detail, but I really like that the speedometer shows every km/h when accelerating, instead jumping through the speed like some other sportscars do (they go like 50-->56-->64-->etc. instead of 51-->52-->53-->....-->64-->etc.)

As a Dutchman, I have to compliment the Germans on how composed they are whenever there is a speedlimit. It's like you don't take for granted, the fact that you have the liberty to go as fast as the car (and your balls) takes you whenever it's allowed, and in return you abide the speedlimits. This is from my own experiences driving on the autobahn. (I live very near to our friendly neighbours)

Well, most of the time people still drive 20-30kph faster than the speedlimit, as it should be. I for example want to drive as fast as i want, not how fast other people want me to drive, when its safe to do so

I find it interesting how it behaves in D mode at 6:12 when accelerating while throttle was oppening steadly, at 50% throttle it shifts up just to downshift a split second later when throttle opens, I assume with a kickdown. I have no experience with dualclutch autobox but while oppening throttle was happening during acceleration shouldn't box logic keep it reving? How do you find this box mapping Novitec, is ist well tuned?

I forgot about the MC20 and came in expecting a V12 NA full throttle on the Autobahn (MC12) lol... Ended up a bit disappointed but sounds good as well!

Its the exact layout of a 4C, only alfa would have made it better looking, massarati brand is dead. Same turn signals and everything.

At idle it sounds like 1.0 3 cylinder with a full tube exhaust, while accelerating sounds okay

This things sounds like a Turbo S and any GT3 / RS sounds better than this.
@@azeQify I have to disagree on that one. First i don´t count the GT3 RS because its a N/A engine and i want to compare similar engines.
Second: When i compare this 3.0l Turbo with the 3.7l Turbo S or any other Porsche with an 3.0l Turbo engine i can hear a clear winner. At least that is my opinion.

The only drawback is that the door opens upwards. The car has a subtle, clean style. Not all supercars need to show off like a Lambo
That’s also why Lamborghini made the Huracan… a more comfortable, reliable, and subtle Lamborghini.
Edit: don’t forget the Gallardo either. Where do you think the R8 came from? It’s an even more subtle supercar.

I feel like the majority of these comments are about sound…. Ever heard of after market exhausts? If you can get the car you can afford an exhaust… mine comes in March all yellow carbon fiber all out and highly anticipating what Novitec will provide!!!
