Wood helps reduce the ear smell if that's a problem, also you have to take them out before you shower because the expand when wet. It's a good idea to take your plugs out for at least an hour a day to let them rest, if you sleep with them out and do massages frequently it can help keep your lobes thick
I soak a cotton ball in saline solution and put that in my lobe for 10 minutes up to 3 times a day when I have any issues. I’m currently at 19mm in one ear and 13mm in the other due to a nasty reaction to wood:( after it healed I was at 6mm but this technique helped me way better than holding a cup of water to my ear. Hope this helps someone!
Wow thank you for this! I didn’t have anything type of lubricant to stretch from 16g to 14g so I used tea tree oil, till I realized later we have some vitamin e oil. I’ll definitely buy my own vitamin e oil in stores next week. Maybe even the bio oil as you have a strong positive opinion on it! Thank you!
@@alejandrahilligoss5357 I dont stretch my ears yet but I did research. And the emu oil you can get from online the website is called urbanbodyjewelry.com
Thanks alot for the bio oil tip......looking forward to trying this out.....I have alot of bad scaring from picking and scratching my skin caused by irritation to skin allergy and overall sensitive skin
You're so pretty! I've been watching all kinds ou'd these types of videos for a while now, and i like yours the best. I've been stretching my ears for the first time!! I'm at my goal, 00g. Its the perfect size for me I love them!! I was afraid I still wasn't gonna be satisfied with size, cause before I started 0g seemed good enough, but then it wasn't. There's such a difference in size between the 0g and 00g. I'm satisfied with them tho, they're perfect!!
A must need for someone with piercings is Neimed (?) It's better to use the .9% wound wash than make your own since it has the perfect ratio. Loved the video!
I’ve seen people say not to take your jewelry out after a fresh stretch. But one of my lobes & tunnels are trying to become one. So I’ve decided to take it out and massage it. Because I’m afraid if I leave it alone for a week or so the skin will attach itself 😅
Hi Gretchen! I stretched my ears at your same pace and I am now at 10 mm, slowly going towards 12 mm. I love your videos and lemme tell ya those eyelashes are BOMB gurl 😍😘 Love ya, kisses from Venice, Italy 💋
Your make-up is sooo pretty I love your eyeshadow. Also cool video and awesome advice. I have almond oil do you think that's an ok oil or should I get something better?
Hi I was wondering if I could get a little advice? This video did help a lot though and after 3 weeks I'm going to start doing the massages with my emu oil. So I struggled with moving up to a 6g for a long time. Tried 4 separate times and I just wasn't ready. The 5th time, it even surprised me they worked with very little pain. I kept my tapers in for about a day maybe less because that's what my tattoo/piercing artist told me to do. He said with smaller tapers it's fine to do, but not make a habit of it. So after a day I took them out to put in my stainless steel single flare plugs, also 6g. I noticed on the tapers they had a little bit of blood on them, which kind of worried me. I cleaned them with my salt water and put the plugs in and left them alone for now. The next day (day three) I pulled them out to clean them again. The same ear from before started bleeding on the q tip. Not a lot but enough for me to see it. Once more I just gently cleaned it and put them back in. For those first 3 days, my ears were pretty tender. I'm now about a week in with 6g and they dont hurt at all and I have no bleeding whatsoever. Though, the holes do look red and I wouldnt dare try anything for a long time. I'm planning on simply staying a 6g for at least 3 to 4 months to give it time to heal completely and to work massages in to take care of scar tissue as best as I can. So my question is, did I do the right thing? Or have I completely fucked up my ears?
I’m super new to stretching. I just started with an 14g, I started with a taper, kept that in for about 4 hours, then put a tunnel in. They’ve been a little sore, and a little warm. I have been doing salt water soaks, and I push the tunnel up very gently and there was a tiny bit of blood but I haven’t noticed any since. I also wash my earlobes with softsoap (like I would do for my tattoos) and pat dry with a paper towel, and then put jojoba oil on. It’s only been three days, but my ears are still a little sore and I’m not sure if that’s normal? Either or, Im gonna keep is clean and oiled up unless anyone has anymore tips for me. Thanks!!
I don't know anything about stretching, but I want to ask if you can wear your titanium earrings after stretching immediately or you should keep the taper first? I'm tryna stretch from 16g to 14g and put a titanium earring their, is it okay to do so?
Yee! Thank you. I'm still waiting to get mine done. Also, how much does it hurt (the first time especially bc I dont have a high pain tolerance) bc I'm a lil nervous to stretch but I reallllllly cannot wait!!
The first stretch is the easiest! I think my most painful stretch was from a 1g to a 0g. But you’re still a long ways from that :) Remember, if it’s painfully bad, stop, you aren’t ready too size up.
my question probably does not quite fit in here. considering getting stretch ear made, but what if I do not want them anymore. just afraid of one's ear getting ugly
Not to do with stretched ears (I have a small gauge and it’s a clicker) But when do you recommend changing industrial piercings? I got mine on August 28th and basketball starts in a few days, can I change to horseshoes? (Or basically just a forward helix and regular helix)
Hey there! I actually have a healed industrial and my advice is if your piercing is still crusty or weeping to not change it out until it stops. Otherwise, you should be fine to put smaller barbells in the holes
Ear lobe massages are about to be part of our date night here at home ❤😂 I was at 38 mm before and had my earlobes reconstructed years ago because they were so thin. About to start stretching again soon.
I love the look of bone…. But the way they’re made is hit and miss in my experience. My favorite pair of Buffalo horn with white bone inlay tunnels fell apart .
I just started today with stretching my ears and I’m a 14g do I start cleaning them today or should I start tomorrow and do I do salt soaks with them like I would do with a piercing and do i take them out of my ear or with them in my ear I need help please
Hi! Can I clean newly stretched ears with antibacterial bar soap or do I have to use liquid? And can I use coconut oil moisturizing cream for lubing my ears when I prepare to size up?
All I've used is a stretching kit, make sure its stainless steel because that is generally best for your ear to heal, I wouldnt recommend using acrylics because at the temperature of your body itll release toxins which causes infections, this is bad if you get a tear or blowout. I did use acrylic and luckily it hasnt caused any of that for me my ears have healed perfectly fine, but I was lucky. Again do as I say and not as I do. You can get a set of stainless steel tapers and tunnels for about £15. Then you can use water based lube or any type of ear butter or even just vitamin e oil, just to lube/ moisturize the ear. Give a gap of about a month between stretches. It may have to be longer or shorter it just depends how quick your ears hurt. When stretching it should only pinch, it shouldn't hurt dramatically. Hope this helps and it goes well for you, good luck
@@marceline5461 I'm not an expert but I would imagine that you need to clean the piercing regularly and use some oil to keep the skin hydrated and healthy you should also take some time to clean out the inside of the nose
acrylic tapers and plugs, especially on a freshly stretched ear is super bad for your earlobes. it releases toxins/chemicals and can cause really bad infections. stainless steel and glass is the best best while still stretching your ears

can you use body oils ? for example baby oil ?
How long does it take to be healed?
would it be safe to use baby oil to massage ?

Newly stretched ears should be cleaned with a salt soak everyday. For lubing, it’s best to use vitamin E oil or Jojoba oil.

does this apply to stretched septum holes too?
Yeah probably pretty much anything that's pierced through the body needs maintenance
