What's impressive is they really leaned into the concept of a liquid robot, he does all kinds of shapeshifting stuff, he's not jus ta one trick pony, it's so creative.
I saw this in the theater in the 90s. When Arnold walked down the stairs and "Bad to the Bone" started playing, the entire audience erupted in cheers. Good times.
Girl must really like this movie cause i have never seen her so expressive, emotive and animated before in a reaction video. Normally she just sits still and straight faced.
One of the most epic movies of all time. This was back when the limitations of the technology forced the artists to be smart about how they implemented it, from the lighting, to application, to using them only when necessary. Everything was from scratch, custom built for the scene, not shortcut packages built for generic purposes. The Corridor Effects Crew did a TH-cam video about trying to recreate the T-1000 walking through the jail bars, but their pre-built gel effects weren't meant to re-congeal to re-form the original object. The original T2 special effects team literally wrote their own code to make that shit happen. Fucking legendary.
12:27 the actor ran so fast during this scene he was almost catching the dirtbike , he had to slowdown ...crazy ...and wen he shoots notice he never blinks , he trained himself not to blink to b more robotic..... prob the best sequel in cinima history
Good review of a great movie. Small detail: As the film sequences were not filmed in order, the desert scenes, where they got Sarah's stored weaponry and John helped the T1 to repair the truck, were actually the first scenes to be filmed. Then back to the city. The problem that caused were that the actor Edward Furlong (John) , having been filmed at his youngest point already, was now noticeably older in what would, in the final cut, be earlier scenes. Also, his voice had broken by then too, so the producers had to adjust the audio on his spoken parts.
YES! One of the best sequels of all TIME! Fun fact: the actor who played the T-1000 was so fast in his running he actually was able to catch up to the bike and they had to shoot that scene multiple times and let the bike get a head start so he wouldn't catch up. In some cases, even with a head start, he still caught up so they just asked him to cut his speed
Someone may have mentioned this already, but you should watch the special edition. There are several deleted scenes that go into more detail on the storyline. In one deleted scene, they show them resetting his chip. That's why the Terminator becomes more human like.
Yeah I liked the extended version ASIDE from the ending. The theatrical ending was absolutely perfect -- simple, poetic, and powerful -- whereas the makeup effects in the extended one was subpar for the rest of the movie, and the exposition was pretty unnecessary.
42:40 Yes 65mph .. because first You see that truck bed covered heavy roof. Plus second even new pick-up truck with 2,4L diesel max speed is 130km/h ( 81 mph ) . Yes Japanese pick up or old one Chevy C10 was work truck not for highway car.
Every 100.000 km / 62,000 miles get enigne 4-5 % less power too = 400.000 km / 250.000 miles pick up truck with new enigne 2,4 L is only 110 hps but output after 250.000 km is only 85 hps left.
Every second of this movie is effective, creative and epic. All the actors nail their performances. The stunts, music, and directing make this the greatest movie ever. 1991 was a great year. Terminator and Nirvana's nevermind landed and raised the bar for movies and music.🔥🔥❤️❤️🍀🍀🌍🌍🎸🎸🎸💎
Remember when Arnold got his arm stuck in the machinery at the steel factory and he had to detach it in order to get free? Well... when they were destroying all the remnants of the technology at the end by casting it into the molten steel, they *forgot* about that other arm that was still stuck in the machinery back there! They only destroyed the T-1000, the T-800, and the arm and CPU chip from Dyson's lab. But not the second arm. That's what I thought would be the reason for a Terminator 3.
Yeah good catch, but ultimately the chip processing tech was what gave the humans 35 years head start in what would become Skynet. The arm is just a mechanical piece.
@@rubenlopez3364 That's not the point. I was talking about how so many reactors I watched called the molten steel "lava". Because yeah, sure, it must be a rock factory, I guess.
The extended version has a bunch of new scenes which in my oppinion don´t add anything important to the movie except for a couple of them showing how the T-1000 is glitching due to being frozen by liquid nitrogen. This means his morphing abilities were affected and he was not fully recovered, he actually suffered damage after being frozen.
The moment they created the T-1000, there was no other way to top that. It's literally the ultimate killing machine that can do anything. Ironically, this was what Cameron wanted for the 1st film but didn't have the budget or technology to do it.

The Terminator and T2 were the Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back for my generation. The Terminator is possibly the greatest "B-movie" ever made. By that i mean, it is the greatest low-budget sci-fi ever produced. Some of the effects stand out like a sore thumb. But The Terminator is still a great inspiration for future filmmakers. Cameron showed us what can be possible on a small budget and its freaking amazing. T2 on the other hand is the greatest action movie ever made. Cameron showed us whats possible once youve established yourself in the industry. And its freaking phenomenal. We wouldnt have The Matrix or the MCU today if it wasnt for Terminator 2: Judgment Day. And this movie still holds up infinitely better. It seems so wrong that Linda Hamilton didnt get nominated for Best Actress. Linda Hamilton was so great in T2, she made Sarah Connor one of the greatest, strongest, most iconic female roles ever put on film. Her Sarah Connor is right up there with Cameron's own Ellen Ripley in Aliens and Scarlett O'Hara in Gone With The Wind. You dont have to watch any other Terminator film.

Once the company does computer contract work and makes the AI machine run the military that is when the government is involved. So it should end here still with the unknown if somebody gets there eventually but with hope for the future.
It all comes down to the budget: Terminator: $6 million, Terminator 2: $100 million You can definitely see the difference in the overall production value.
When the terminator 2nd looks like Sarah Connor it’s not Linda Hamilton it’s her twin sister Leslie Hamilton she also plays girl in playground dream scene.
Many people dont seem to get how the T-800 works. He needs to stay as incognito as possible... at least until he finds his target. If he kills a bunch of bikers in front of all those witnesses, hes gonna get a lot of heat. But hes smart. He knows these bikers are going to tuck tail and run if theyre just injured. These bikers arent going to talk after getting their a**es whipped by a giant man in his birthday suit

One of the best sequels of all time! Alongside Cameron’s other sequel masterpiece Aliens. Can’t say the same for the new Avatar movie. Glad you enjoyed this! Great reaction M&S, thank you. I honestly wouldn't bother with the 3rd Termy film it's pretty bad. Salvation & Genisys may not be 'prime' reaction material but definitley worth watching if you like the franchise. Take care.
There really isn't more than two movies! I mean, technically there are more films, but they honestly don't count and should have never been made. There is no need to watch them. Just close the book here and end the story how it should have ended. People will try to tell you that the 3rd is decent... and it is. But it's still not very good and nowhere near the level of even the first film. Then the movies just get absurd.
Yeah, agreed -- even if the third movie is "decent", its mere existence relies on inserting loopholes that allow an infinite number of meaningless sequels to exist, which itself renders the sacrifice of the T800 in this movie meaningless and makes the overall story weaker. But leave it to Hollywood to want to milk the shit out of everything. Those of us who appreciate art don't like to indulge the third movie for continuity and legacy reasons.
What's impressive is they really leaned into the concept of a liquid robot, he does all kinds of shapeshifting stuff, he's not jus ta one trick pony, it's so creative.

These metamorph special effects were literally cutting edge, in 1992. The world had never seen anything close to it, before.
James Cameron first had the technology built and tested on The Abyss, and when it succeeded, he knew he could finally make this movie.

So it should end here still with the unknown if somebody gets there eventually but with hope for the future.
It all comes down to the budget: Terminator: $6 million, Terminator 2: $100 million You can definitely see the difference in the overall production value.
31:25 Gautling gun
It’s an M134 Minigun, which is a motorized updated Gatling gun.
Behold the power of Nuclear warheads
Best movie and sequel in history!
When the terminator 2nd looks like Sarah Connor it’s not Linda Hamilton it’s her twin sister Leslie Hamilton she also plays girl in playground dream scene.
Hi. Please react to “ Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines” (2003) 😊😊
That would make about 1 billion people left in 97. If I recall correctly.
You guys figured out the plot twist too soon😢😢😢
They did, didn't they😂
I always say it. God bless, Miles Bennett Dyson

I Watched your reaction to Terminator 2 Judgment Day! I Recommend Watching A great comedy movie based on a Saturday Night Live Skit Called Wayne’s World! It’s About Two Grown Men Played By Mike Myers As Wayne And Dana Carvey As Garth Who Have A Show In The Basement Of Wayne’s Parents House! Trust Me When You React To The Wayne’s World Movie You’ll See Why Their Both Connected!!!
I love expressions from all reactors when they don't know evil and who's good
I hope they get all armed = better change saved if ghave back up team no matter what age or genre.
One of the best sequels of all time! Alongside Cameron’s other sequel masterpiece Aliens. Can’t say the same for the new Avatar movie. Glad you enjoyed this! It was a major milestone in the history of visual effects.
That dog was the same one from the first Terminator movie. Belonged to the director and was named Beowulf. Nickname was Wolfie!
Here’s a fun parody from The Simpsons: m.th-cam.com/video/m75LTlu_JlU/w-d-xo.html
Greetings from Finland!!! You should definitely continue this franchise T3 is okay but T4 is best sequel after judgment day!!! "I'll be back" 😎
Yes the man who ended the world built vacuum cleaners.
