    stumbled across your video where you used a GIF to add some movement in your dashboard, and now a connection on linked in mentioned you. Crazy small world. Great work.

    Can you get into where/how you got that map? Is this a 3D map? I've been getting the newsletters but I have not seen this topic yet.

    The report connection option is greyed out in my Excel, I cannot use it. Any Ideas on how to fix that?

    I thought of another question. How do I lock down all the 'display boxes' without locking down the slicer and timeline 'boxes'.

    Hello, is it normal that when I erase the data used in a line chart with a gradient, and then restore it, the line chart gradient becomes solid color and the gradient settings disappear?

    Hi. Thanks for a great series. I have a question about managing the layers. Around about 4:08 you start talking about the shape objects and layering. You click on Reorder Objects to bring up all the layers but I do not see that button on my version of Excel. I have Bring Forward and Send Backward but not Reorder Objects. Do I need to turn it on in options or customise the ribbon. Please let me know. Thanks.

      Yeah great question! So the animation you see at that part of the video only shows up if you’re using a Mac. PC still has the bring forward/backward functionality, which is really all you need. I personally only use the reorder objects animation to show people how layers work, it’s not necessarily a super useful tool. Most of the time I’m just right clicking a shape and clicking “move forward” or “move back”.

      @@exceldesign Thanks for clearing that up for me.

    How are you rounding the corners on your shapes?

    • @exceldesign
      @exceldesign  ปีที่แล้ว

      One of the shape types is a rounded rectangle. You can change the size of the rounding by clicking the shape and then selecting the dot in the upper left corner and dragging it.

    Is the reorder shapes button a stock feature on excel? I can't find it

    • @exceldesign
      @exceldesign  ปีที่แล้ว

      Strangely this is one of the only features that is Mac-only. The little animation won’t play if you’re on PC.

    What is that button you push to see all the layers at once? It looks like a "Bring to Front [or back]" icon but mine doesn't do that...

    • @lornaj3310
      @lornaj3310 ปีที่แล้ว

      It looks like it says "reorder" something but it's too fuzzy for me to reeeead!

    Q1: Do you just create a pivot table analyzer in another tab and cut and paste it onto the dashboard?
    Q2: You sort of skipped over "how to connect them to all the tables and all the charts" can you demo that?

    • @exceldesign
      @exceldesign  ปีที่แล้ว

      Both these are probably best answered by watching the other videos that are full tutorials (just look for the longer videos on my channel). I go deeper and show the whole process.

    Would 100% want to buy your full toolkit, but not for hundred bucks, do you have individual sections like the charts for example, id happily order to save myself hours of trying to get it to work myself. Fully understand tons of work has gone into it, just I dont need 80% of the charts.
    Either way keep up the fantastic work dude!
