My dad whistles this around the house, kinda funny tbh being he has no idea what it’s from. Probably heard it when I was a kid and it just stuck with him.
I listened to this so much. I was too afraid to fight the first boss as a kid so I just hung out at the Apple Market. I had a good time pretending I was a customer
Hahaha this comment is too good. That was me too. I rented the game a couple times as a kid, and I tried that boss maybe just two times total. But I spent a lot of time kicking cans in the market! In fact I still do that every couple years - I’ve started a handful of save files where I just get to the market, kick the can for a while and look around the shops, and that’s it. Back in college, I was looking around the market and realized there’s a little sign on the wall the says “Bronte”. That’s the name of the girl I was dating at the time. I’ve never heard of anybody else with that name and I have no idea what it’s doing on the wall of the Apple Market, but I enjoy that.

It was 1998, October It was my 13th Birthday I remember being at Sears and getting my very first Playstation with Megaman Legends.. Everything in my life changed after that Such fond memories and hearing this song over and over in my mind so much I had to look up the music to this on TH-cam... What times we live in where we can simply re-live our nostalgia by technology like this... amazing 👏
This track has an Eldritch feeling to it, like it permanently marks those who hear its accursed melody. The amount of people who have this song permanently stuck in their head is insane, and I'm one
You aren’t wrong. I heard this for the first time in probably almost 20 years today in a video and I listened for like 3 seconds before saying “ this is mega man legends isn’t it “ and comin here to confirm lol
I'm glad everyone agrees this ost is such a refresher from all the scary af dungeon tracks the game had It was definitely the safety hub for every 90's kid playing this the first time around, lmao
I came here after watching nOnes youtube video with a stream clip on a life lesson that states; *to get respect, you 1st have to give respect* ... good ol nOne vods always have something nice to teach. Da Melee Ganon combos. Dope af. i love my life zwz (Melee & Megaman games) - BASE
Takes me back to a time I would run into the cars out of boredom because the game was corrupted and I couldn't get past the cutscene where you meet the mayor.
How to forget when Gyro Man, Ice Man and Burner Man went to the shopping mall to get Dr. Wily a Christmas present, while this tune played in the background.
Only True OGs remember sticking around the mall/market hearing this masterpiece, without ever advancing the story, lol. I just realized that I'm the 100th comment! Lol.
The American cover art is bad. The Japanese version has a great piece of 2D art they dropped because they seemingly wanted a 3D model to reflect the actual graphics of the game. The problem is that 3D render doesn't reflect the great 3D models in game either. It's like the person who made it got their art advice from some bad How to Draw Manga book.
Most Asians prefer 2D graphics > 3D graphics. While Americans/Europeans/Australians prefer vice versa. That's enough to answer why boxarts are different in different region & why Western games & N64s were sold horribly in Japan.
My dad whistles this around the house, kinda funny tbh being he has no idea what it’s from. Probably heard it when I was a kid and it just stuck with him.

thats pretty cool actually
Love when that happens~
Ha. That makes sense
awesome

I was intimidated by that first boss as well. God, this is beyond nostalgic for an early 90s baby. This is one of my earliest gaming memories.
Bro I literally had the same story. I remember I always had my dad fight the boss for me lol.

I am a 35-year-old Mexican man and this morning I woke up with a random desire to listen to this melody from my childhood
Hey… same here. I’m 36 though..😎👉👉
I know right? I’m 33 now but I just knew it from back then when I was 8 that this song was gonna stay in my head.
Compadre! I felt that too today. but I'm 26.
Felt that today. Only 31 though
Crazy im a 26 year old mexican man as well and i wanted to listen to this too
This music still plays in my head whenever I go grocery shopping

Megaman X. More like Megaman Triple X.
I found you again.
Better put it back.
MegaMan Legends needs a remaster seriously this was the first MegaMan game I played back when I was a kid.
It was 1998, October
It was my 13th Birthday

I've been whistling this song ever for more than half of my life.
Literally the perfect elevator music
Yep. It never leaves
That flute section is intense to whistle

@@riplix20 Hopefully, it doesn't just repeat in your head for another 20 years!
this song has been in my mind for years. Kicking that can around for hours will always be one of my fondest childhood memories :)
For hours.? Woah, edgy af. O. O
@@Base_Bass_Forte I didn't do it to be edgy, I just found it so much fun to kick it that I couldn't help but do it lmao
@@Klaux It is amazing how much children can enjoy doing something so simple. 😄
@@transcendent7lucidity ikr :)
@Klaux probably too much zenny 🤣
The nostalgia here is unreal for me. One of my earliest gaming experiences.
Amen
Legendary nostalgia here. Anyone else love this game?
Who doesn't 🤣
It's my favorite game of all time.
Favorite MegaMan series by a long margin
Just kicking a can in the mall as a kid in a video game and feeling momentary bliss
Every time I think Mega Man Legends this song plays in my head...the song I remember the most from that game
Ditto
My afterschool soundtrack of the late 90's. My brother was playing this game often.
BEYOND Facts!
This was played at my wedding
Sounds like this could be in a pokemon game.
I'm glad everyone agrees this ost is such a refresher from all the scary af dungeon tracks the game had
It was definitely the safety hub for every 90's kid playing this the first time around, lmao
If I could use any song to convey the feeling of exploring new neighborhoods as a kid, this song would be it.
OThis came as part of my childhood. It would be cool if they made a remastered version for the switch ?
God this song is an earworm. Heard it back when this game first dropped and still occasionally hum it to this day.
This is actually a fantastic song by itself lol
Kick the can
Into the bakery until you turn dark 😄
@@TyG2k9 oh yea that's low key a glitch. I knew that one zwz
Best part of the game, well that and the dancing monkey.
@@Base_Bass_Forte thats not a glitch..
I can hear it so vividly
This is a Fun piece of Music to have set as a Ringtone during the Holidays.
Or the springtime, considering that was when I got this game.
This brings back memories from when I’d just turned 15 in 2000.
Kicking the can in the garbage
This use to play in my head whenever I went to tanger's outlet, funny enough they use to have a kaybee toys that sold Mega man figures, good times!
That can you can kick around was fun
One of the happiest pieces of music in video game history!!
I miss this game so much we really need a remaster with all the charm & quirkiness of the original
It makes me think of the summers... :3
Funny... it makes me think of the beach... and in this game there is an area with a beach and this song. :3
This game was so great to me as a kid
Had this on N64 I used to sleep with this song on.
this was on N64?? i only remember it on playstation...

Is that the Megaman Legends store theme? Talk about nostalgia…
It makes me so mad every other Mega Man spinoff got a rerelease collection, but not Legends! 1&2 and Tron Bonne, Capcom. C'mon, it'll print money.
This soundtrack is canon event on some our childhood
