    Wallpaper above the window, as it’s part of the wall. Lovely makeover 😍

    Oh wow what a beautiful transformation! The timber accents really warmed up the space and the vanity is stunning
    I vote to wallpaper the bump out, looks great with the plants too

    I remember when I would watch your videos when I was still living at my parent’s house.. dreaming that someday I’d be able to buy my own home and do all the DIY’s you do.. I just got the call that I’m prequalified for a home and I’m good to start house hunting.. Thanks for all of your awesome videos, Tina. Can’t wait to buy a home and make it as beautiful as yours ❤️

    Such a transformation. Leave that spot alone. The plants do the job!

  • @samanthapvincent
    @samanthapvincent 2 ปีที่แล้ว +67

    Personally, I would keep that spot how it is because adding the plants looked like it was the perfect touch.
    By painting it black, it would draw* my eyes to it and there's too many other great stuff in there that I would rather keep as the focal.

  • @renmcg12
    @renmcg12 2 ปีที่แล้ว +50

    What a complete makeover, it's hard to believe that's the same bathroom! The mix of browns and black with the pops of brass/gold and green from the plants *muah* just perfection. My two cents on the window is I'd paint the trim black but not the upper bump out, it looks a bit dark so I think leaving it white puts the focus on the window with the plants. Fantastic work as always!!

  • @flamingoliz
    @flamingoliz 2 ปีที่แล้ว +38

    This space looks great! I don't always like grasscloth wallpaper but it looks really nice there and your artwork goes perfect with the room. Personally I would just leave the bulkhead over the window as is. I think the black is too visually heavy and wallpaper might turn out kinda cheesy looking. You don't really want to draw attention to it away from the other beautiful things in that space. The black vanity with brass knobs is beautiful too.

    • @angieb210
      @angieb210 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't know why, but I feel like adding the wallpaper would help hide it a little bit better than leaving it bare🤔

    Beautiful!! Keep the window surround white bc it blends nicely. The black might feel like too much contrast

  • @kellylyons4716

    I would leave the window and bump white or a color closer to the wallpaper colors. The bathroom looks amazing!

  • @susancollado5290

    💕It’s brighter but I’d say that due to the lighting💕That wallpaper looks better when the seams are matched💕

    This was so satisfying to watch! It's also fun to watch you and Brian laughing together and being couple goals, while he sings your well-deserved praises. Each room or nook or closet you re-do just makes me wish I owned my own house! (But some of these could be done within a rental, so that's a bonus!)

    • @tinalemac

    I would've never thought of doing brass knobs with the black faucet, but it makes so much sense since the vanity is now black. Great work!

  • @heatherscullin4140

    Love this makeover! I say wallpaper above the window but keep the trim white to match the baseboards and door. I get so excited when you upload, it's nice to subscribe to someone who consistently puts out videos that are relaxing and entertaining to watch!!

    Wonderful job! I say keep the window as is. The plants dress it up, no need to add anything else. Your artwork looks great. That vanity turned out so well. Love it all!

  • @ipsitapattanaik8617
    @ipsitapattanaik8617 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Tina! There's no surprise that this transformation was also AMAZING as usual! Its hard to believe that its the same bathroom in the beginning of the video. Placing the plants in the window nook was genius, it just freshens up the whole room. My opinion on the window is neither black nor wallpaper...! I would rather paint it the same/similar colour as the floating shelves- that way it blends in without becoming another focal point, but still sort of ties in the whole room together. Keep up the incredible work!

  • @mapleleaf0
    @mapleleaf0 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think the best option is to leave the bulkhead and trim white. It brings the least amount of attention to the unusual situation. Also, I had a wallpapered bathroom for about 25 years. It was the main house bathroom where showers were taken. The wallpaper was on all the walls, even into the shower above the tile at the foot of the tub. It didn't peel. Yours is peel and stick so that's a bit different, but I wouldn't assume you couldn't take showers in there regularly.
    This turned out fantastic!

  • @normiejeanj
    @normiejeanj 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Fabulous. I would paint the trim with the plants black to tie into the vanity and artwork. Also the greenery would really pop against the black. Great job girl!!!

  • @Crazyexgirlfriendlol
    @Crazyexgirlfriendlol 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Absolutely stunning tina!! Wow! Please go with the black!

  • @SanamGoli
    @SanamGoli 2 ปีที่แล้ว +24

    I love this makeover!!!! drawing straight lines to line up your wallpaper is sUCH a good tip for the next time I wallpaper!
    I wouldn't paint that bulk head thing black, it would make the room look heavy. Wallpaper seems like the better option to make it blend in a bit.

  • @TracyHRodriguez
    @TracyHRodriguez ปีที่แล้ว

    Just incredible. I love the mirror, faucet and light especially.

  • @lindaroyal8161
    @lindaroyal8161 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    It turned out very nice, I like the wall paper.
    Voting on the window trim - Could paint the frame around the window black or leave it white and the bulkhead above the window, could trim it out in wood and stain it to match the floating shelves.

  • @3Duncan3
    @3Duncan3 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Love this! I'd leave that piece white, it disappears into the ceiling. I think the black would make it heavy and a focal point. 👍🪴

    Love the makeover! I’d keep the overhang at the window white. The plants are a plus. You may want to bring in the shower curtain to the middle and expose the wall. Put a tie on curtain in you like. Wonderful job by you and Brian!

    Tina, it's sooo beautiful!! I think I'd just leave the bump out as is, it blends in really well now, and doesn't seem as noticeable which is what I prefer. I can't even handle how amazing the transformation of the vanity was! Great work!

  • @angieb210

    Hey Tina!
    To sort of neutralize the space, you can add something else to the wall! Perhaps a plant on the stool or a hanging plant? I know there isn't much sunlight for them to thrive, but there are grow lightbulbs available online! Just an idea😊

    Just WOW! The room looks really beautiful! Mission accomplished with the hotel bathroom vibes...sophisticated, high end👍🏽. I just wanted to add that everything you've done to your home, all that hard work, although its DIY. It looks amazing...Now, in my opinion, you can relax when you've completed your rooms and only renovate when you want to refresh... Because all the rooms I've seen you touch, look professional styled

  • @LizaGvozdevaLifePsychology
    @LizaGvozdevaLifePsychology 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Amazing transformation! You did good job! Hey, maybe you could improve this shower area more with painting seams between tiles. Black, green or some fun color from your paintings? It works. I know a lot of people repaint seams and even tile here in
    Ukraine. For a grout they use regular acrylic paint.

  • @DoeEyedReader

  • @donnabacon4681
    @donnabacon4681 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Tina! Hotel quality! Beautiful!!! I think for that bulkhead, either white or the grass cloth wallpaper. Black paint would look "heavy" & distract from the beauty of the room, & not enhance.
    As I always, you two are so adorable!
    Enjoy your day!

  • @953orion
    @953orion 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I think keeping the trim area by the window light colored will help blend it in better. It seems like it chops the window up and i would rather try to blend it in personally. The bather looks fantastic though, job well done!! 💚
